Do you know why I hate spiders guys? It is because, well just think about it! Do you realize how the spider moves? It moves on 8 throbbing boners! How fucked up is that?!?!

The answer is to eat them. Try every single one, even if poisonous, you eat it, make it part of yourself. When you got the power of the bugs, they won't be able to stop you.

I have a similar phobia. Mostly mine is of faster moving bugs though, like some others mentioned. Those fuckers skitter around and freak me the fuck out.

My constructive opinion, learn about them. Learn their anatomy, their biology, their simplistic behavior patterns (mostly simplistic). Fear comes from the unknown, Insects are knowable, and knowing more about why they look and act the way they do will help you parse what you are seeing, then by seeing them you aren't looking at tiny monsters, but tiny beautiful intricate products of evolution, your tiny cousins.

Get some exposure therapy from a psychologist.

Or if you want to DIY it, have a friend help you out. Have him put a bug in a jar. Sit next to the jar until you are no longer anxious. This is possible because the human body cannot indefinitely remain in a state of heightened anxiety.

Gradually increase the exposure. Touch the jar. Take the bug out of the jar. Touch some dead bugs. Put them on your hand. Your brain will realise that there is no point becoming scared around bugs when no actual harm comes to you, and you will overcome your fear.

Eat them and conquer your fear.

I tried myself but found that I'm allergic to them :( Rashes galore. Tasty though.
