Let's assume I get the full speed out of this. What are my real download and upload speeds gonig to be?

Okay, quick question. Do you need to have a land line installed to get DSL? I think I already know the anwer but I want to be sure.
By whose standards? 768kbps up is about as good as it gets for a domestic line, at least in the US. Maybe some providers offer better, but probably not on a 6.0mbps line.SantaCruZer said:weak upload :/

I am on 3Mbps/512Kbps DSL plan. So that's about 375KBps/64KBps.... In reality, I can never get past 300KBps/50KBps.
Pellham said:Yes, which is why DSL is usually $20 cheaper than cable despite having the same speed.

My mom did the same thing! :lolisamu said:Not for SBC customers it isn't...standard(after promotion wears off) fee for DSL for the low package(1.5down/3-something up) is $50 a fucking month!!! I just had to call them yesterday and bullshit my way into getting them to give me the promotional $15/month rate! Fucking phone companies![]()
