Monday nights are never good for me. I wish it would go back to tuesday.

Anyway, I know there won't be a unanimous opinion, but what's the general impression? And if I hear "Not as good as the first season.." even ONCE, I will KILL YOU.

No spoilers, obviously.

Basically... I'm kind of indifferent toward it since I'm so far behind (only seen the first two hours), but I think if I hear enough good things I'll be encouraged to start er... finding other means to watch the episodes. Otherwise, I may just wait for the DVD release.

It's been very good, comparable to seasons 1 and 2 (season 3 was weak IMO). It's also had the benefit of having nowhere near the amount of annoying sub-plots as any of the previous seasons, a particularly welcome change for me after season 3.

Not as good as the first season.. :D

Its really pretty good. They got rid off Kim, so her bizzare storylines are finally gone. Most of the regular cast is gone (they may come back
one already has
) so it takes some adjusting to the new members. Edgar rocks. Overall A-

It's my favorite since season one. Hell, it's probably even better, but I can't tell with nostalgia in the way.

GREAT to hear. :D

I've been avoiding the threads and none of my friends watch 24 so I really didn't know what to expect. Especially since they overhauled the cast.

Season 4 is good and a lot better than season 3.
It has a new cast and all the boring subplots are gone.

So far my ratings are:

1 > 4 > 3 > 2

I thought season two was just garbage.

Having said that, I don't know if it's nostolgia, but I don't think season one will ever be topped simply due to the fact that I think it was grounded the most in reality, even with the multiple kidnappings, and and was planned out more.

First, I'm aware they write the series episode to episode basically, but I can't really seem them having gone to FOX with a pitch for a show without having some extensive layout for season one, unlike the other seasons. In that sense, season one seems more coherent.

Also, season one is just the most plausable, in part because they started off small, with a revenge and assasination plot, and they've had to top themselves ever since. This season's plot is wholly ridiculous, but on the other hand, there really hasn't been a lull in the action yet, which amazes me. Season one, of course, had quite a few dull points.

If season four's plot was semi-grounded in reality, combined with the action that's gone on so far, it'd top season one. But for now... I don't think season one can ever really be topped.
