I found this game quite cheap recently (on sale at play.com), how is the game? I know that it's a bit old, and it has online play, but I don't hope anybody online so the single player is the most important.
It's awesome. It can get very challenging and you must learn shortcuts and such, but I think it's a really great racer. I can't wait for the next installment.
I had a great time with Midnight Club 2. Very fast game. I agree, the shortcuts are a must later in the game.
The game is not cheap like NFSU. The rubberband AI is not anywhere as bad.

Really?!? I thought the 2nd was light years better than the first. I'm hoping the 3rd makes me feel the same. I'm really excited about Detroit being one of the areas as well.
