As a German resident, I've also seen that. One of my friends at work is a raging feminist, and crazy lefty. I like her because she's a fun person to interact with, and one of the few people who is intelligent.

However, I put this issue to her, and the response was "those who complain are racist." It's such a vapid response. There's no argument there, just insults.
You also see the same thing happen in Sweeden - although I've never been there so I'm relying on "news sources" which could be a load of shit - where they have a "feminist government" but are also the rape capital of Europe. Over 66% of sexual assaults and rape in Swedish cities are done by migrants, when 3rd parties assess the data, because the government refuse to break down the attacks by ethnicity because it's "racist."

The thing is, this isn't feminism. What my grandma did in WW2, when she joined the army, that's feminism. This modern version is likely a power grab, rather than an equaliser. The scary part of the whole thing, is that you can't speak against it, or you're branded a sexist/racist/homophobe, and you can lose your job. This is the worst part of the whole thing, they've managed to find a way to shut down discussion through fear.

Yes, it's been garbage since its inception. The reason why women weren't allowed to vote weren't because of misogynistic reasons, they weren't allowed to vote because it required them being drafted in military. Even lots of women didn't want to vote because of the draft.

There's a reason why feminism didn't arise until modern tines, because back then most jobs required physical labour, hard intense labour. As soon as men modernised society and earning money could be done by going to the comfort of an office and doing admin work, is when feminism started.

If world war 3 should happen and society collapse, where we have to literally rebuild again, there won't be any feminists until everything is rebuilt again. I mean, you will NEVER EVER see feminists pushing for equal representation in bricklaying, garbage/sewage/sanitation, welding, etc they only want equal representation in high paying office jobs.

Feminism, like every subset of marxism, is all about power and money. Nothing else.

If you as an ideology do not go against these people and hell even make it one of leaders and "role" models of a "Women's March" then it is your own fault when more than 80% of people in the UK believe in equality and only 7% consider themselves a feminist. These are the crazy people who write for magazines and sites like Teevogue. These are the people sitting in positions "journalists" and spread their bullshit lying,ignoring facts etc. And yes I believe exactly that because these are the current voices.



To me feminism an outdated quality that is barley surviving and tries to find or invent reason to stay relevant. People characterize the entire "fourth wave" primarily as an online phenomenon. Online, the fringe is the loudest and most visible. I genuinely think that is the only thing people are exposed to. It's so bad that people go into college classrooms now and literally video record their women's studies professors giving lectures in class, and there are examples where it's as bad or worse than the worst of twitter. And then people get these degrees after spending tens of thousands on it, and they have no viable skills other than being extremely angry online.

Today you have posted it twice in the space of four minutes. So it seems like you think it's a valid point to bring up.

If you accept these extreme views as being representative of feminism then it just helps those exact people shout the loudest. By all means call them out on their bullshit. I'm not saying don't engage with and criticise these people. If they are saying dumb shit then they should be corrected. But when you hold them up and say "this is modern feminism" it doesn't really help the conversation. Those who have views that are more representative of feminists as a whole then have to clarify that they don't hold these ridiculous views and that's just a waste of time. If you are wanting to critique actual feminism then only bringing up these extreme views that most feminists reject seems like a poor way to do that.

Social media gives us access to a whole spectrum of opinions. The same goes for web media since they are so driven by needing to stand out to generate clicks. No one cares about the reasonable views, the extreme views people see shared in their Facebook feeds are what grabs attention. It becomes very easy for people on either side of any argument to just pull up the wacky stuff from the other side. It makes them look ridiculous and unrelatable. People then just figure that if that's what the other side believes then there's no point coming to any kind of understanding because how could you when that's how they think.

When I tried to warn a polygon writer back then that she was being doxxed she thanked me. So I told her that tons of people under gamergate are mass reporting this doxxer. She then said I will still blame it on gamergate because they deserve this. This was just one example I heard during my time there. And I will say that clear. The reason why I balme the movement is because these are not random people they are known people in this space. They are verrified by Twitter they write for teenvogue etc. If I wanted to invest the time I could you easily show hundreds of verrified twitter accounts who have done the same shit as well. Even more irnoic many journalists who opposed gamergate are now out of a job or are in Jail because they sexual assaulted them some for pedophilia, for a bomb threat etc.

You seem to believe that women didn't start working until 'easy' jobs were created by technological progress. That's of clourse bs. The past wasn't as romantic as you might believe. Women had to work as hard as their men. Surely often in different fields of work, no lesser in terms of intensity.

I think if you look at something like the Womens March, you can see that Feminists are more than happy to eat their own to take gold at the oppression olympics.

But OTOH Women's March shouldn't be the benchmark for feminists, and I think most of them aren't feminists but just way far leftists who want power, so they can oppress those below them.

Feminisim is a very important movement. Women should fight for their rights and equality, but it seems like a lot of Feminists of today aren't very concerned with that and would rather just delve into whatever far left political issues they can drag up.

I really like your post, but this point is a little weird.
While I agree that it can and porbably has influenced and nurtured rightwing movements, I dont see the recent changes In Europe connected to this at all.
The reason why Austria (my country) for example had a drastic change at the last election is almost completely based on the massive refugee streams of the past years, paired with news stories of rapes committed by refugees and and other crimes. There was no Feminism at work here at all from my perspective, or at least not notable. Just right wing propaganda focusing on the negative aspects of the refugee situation.
Another mayor influence is the fact that our new Chancellor is a very charismatic young man with lots of fans.
I am sure he would have liked a large coalition with the previous leading party better than the right wing, but they refused because they were sour.
