I just saw a commercial for it last night, but it didn't mention a price.

Did it just come out yesterday, or has it been out for awhile and I just missed it?

As of 2001 you could by each ep on VHS, Beta, Laserdisc or DVD.

But this is the first time I believe that it's been packed together by season on DVD IIRC.

Yeah... the entire Season 1 was released on DVD yesterday in one set... it is a yellow, egg-shell type of case... cool looking...

I don't have $100 to blow on Star Trek DVD collections...

Sadly Star Trek DVDs tend to be very expensive for thier season sets

The price for these single-season sets is still cheaper than the original packaging--forty separate two-episode discs at $15-$20 each.

Damn, they aren't wasting any time, are they? Amazon.com says the Season 2 set ships in November, and Season 3 in December. Is that right?

Costco had them for ~$80 yesterday. Still too expensive for my liking though :|
