How many of you will be purchasing the new xsex day 1 for the new halo

I have my £££ waiting for pre-order as soon as they will start.

Buying it on day one same as I did with XOX. Not only for Halo, but just because I want it for general.

I just hope that Microsoft will release digital only edition, because I bought disc game was somewhere in the 2017.

Not a huge Halo fan, though I really liked the original.
I thought the first Halo:Infinite teaser was ok, but fairly light on content, while the E3 2019 trailer was just plain bad.

What worries me more is that development seems troubled, with 343 losing its Creative Director AND the person who replaced him less than two months later.
Plus we have yet to see any gameplay less than 6 months from release, even though the project was announced over 2 years ago.

Yeah, I feel we definitely need to see more to get a feel for this project.

Biased PC gamer or biased PS5 gamer in disguise? Please tell us about your high end gaming PC.
Nah I'm just a biased consumer still trying to see the advantage of buying the console since the only thing that really matters, the games, I can get on something I already have.

I will really considering XseX if they could backed development of JRPG once again like they did in 2005-2009 era

also losy odyssey remake or 2

I will can't wait for a new halo on new hardware day 1
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but can we get away from XSeX as the initials. The Xbone was a terrible abbreviation that likely hurt the brand, everyone saw bone and chuckled. Throwing Sex into the initials is going to be embarrassing when the casual sees it. XSX is fine. For evidence I submit TNA wrestling.
Best looking console ever. :messenger_smiling_hearts:

Is that official or a mock up? It looks gorgeous.

Need to see more, halo4&5 were really weak for me, 343 has to knock it out of the park to bring me back into the Halo world

Waiting to see if it pops out on Game Pass for pc.

Otherwise, yes; my wallet is ready. I'll buy the ps5 too, I just love buying hardware (and never actually use it).

Halo Infinite is one of the several reasons why im buying Xbox Series X day one.

1. Xbox Series X is simply the better overall gaming console period and I simply want the best. Have done this since the days of SNES and haven't been disappointed or letdown yet. Next Gen will be no exception.

2. Multi-Platform games which basically equal 75% of my games once the gen is all said and done will look, run and play better on Xbox Series X.

3. The Controller. I personally have zero issues with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controllers but I absolutely hate the touch pad. Was hoping that it was going to be eliminated as it's just an oversized world map button for 95% of games. A few of the features on the PS5 controller, Xbox already has this gen.

4. Game Pass Ultimate. This is huge. As someone who's not a collector and looking to spend no more than $30 on new releases day one since I buy games on disc and trade them once im done with the game, GPU is fucking awesome. I can play so many games including some I would never ever even think about a chance. If I get some gems out of it, great and if not, only a few hours of my time is wasted. Adding in previous generations of games is also huge because there's some I have never ever played (such as Alan Wake) but im not paying anything to play them. Those days are gone.

Most of all, im getting Microsoft's exclusives day one. Worse case scenario is that each and every exclusive is a $10 monthly rental. As someone who's never played a Halo game, knowing I can go in and play this game for $10 and possibly quit/drop it if I don't like it is so much fucking better than taking a chance on the game for $60. I'll also get games like Gears Tactics which is a 100% guaranteed playthrough and many others as well as third party exclusives such as The Medium which like Halo Infinite, if it wasn't for Game Pass, I simply wouldn't spend my money taking the chance on it and more importantly waste my time.

In addition, you also get a 20% discount if you want to buy a digital game and are a Game Pass subscriber which is cool for those who find a game, love it and want to buy it. For games that are on Game Pass and end up having DLC or expansions such as possibly Halo Infinite, I can simply re-download the game and just buy the expansions if I choose to do so. Either way, im saving a lot of money which can go to more third party games that aren't on Game Pass and most importantly, saving a lot more of my time.

This doesn't include Xbox Game Pass for PC or Live Gold which is even more value but doesn't apply to me whatsoever.

5. The one year timed exclusives such as Godfall and others will end up going to Xbox Series X as better ports and wouldn't be surprised one bit if a game like Kena: Bridge of Spirits ends up being in Game Pass day one.

Halo Infinite is just one of my reasons for purchasing an Xbox Series X day one. Five more months to go!!!

Is it November yet???

Yea I agree July can't come soon enough I want just a 2 or 3 minute gameplay trailers of what they been cooking lol

I honestly dont even know. I found the pic on twiter or reddit a while back and saved it because it really does look amazing. I hope they make a white version that looks that good. Xbox Series X Snow Edition

I'm expecting one hell of a showcase that blows away their last three E3 showcases which were all pretty good. I'm expecting a long gameplay trailer for Halo Infinite and Fable. Also hoping for a Techland studio acquisition which I do believe is a 50/50 shot. Spencer and company just need to show gameplay for a few minutes of each game. Anything that doesn't have actual gameplay from their first parties, I wouldn't show, especially if it's a new IP. Those I would save for summer 2021.

I love the console design cant wait for the special edition xbox's people been doing mock up and I hope Microsoft seen some of them amazing

Not for Halo Infinite alone but I would for a Fable that is similar enough to The Witcher 3, a 3rd person Perfect Dark, Alan Wake or Ryse 2

I'd love to see another Perfect Dark. Kameo too. Then again I wanted another Crackdown and that didn't exactly work out too well, so 🤷‍♂️

Microsoft don't own the Alan Wake ip, Remedy do. Would love to see a sequel but it'll be multi platform. Same with Ryse, ip owned by Crytek.

After seeing Ratchet And Clank I would love to see a new Banjo, Conker or Kameo. Just to see what they would look like running on the Series X.

Halo Reach was actually my favorite game, primarily for its focus on characters other than Master Chief. Heck, MC wasn't even really interesting until Halo 4.

That being said, I honestly don't think MS knows what to do with Halo, and a reboot to something that I didn't find that amazing to begin with doesn't exactly bode well for me buying the new box right away.

You're right and I would love for those games to multiplatform I think both have potential and deserve more sales

The departure of Bungie marked the end of Halo. Let it go, guys.
That's your opinion I think 343 did a great job I loved halo 4 multiplayer didn't like halo 5 multiplayer it was to much like cod they should leave the weapons alone especially the aim like holding left trigger just add weapons and leave controls alone

Honestly feels like this halo is being built up as some mythical game that's going to blow everything away, Why is that?when in reality it's halo with the base line as the xbox 1 and being made by 343.

is this because Xbox has nothing else to rally behind game wise this year?

My fiance' and I actually had a ton of fun doing the episodic PvE stuff in Halo 4 together. It was cool sort of "being your own Spartan". Honestly Destiny set in Halo with player-created Spartans would have been my dream Halo game, but Bungie sort of pulled the rug out from under that market.

Is this a genuine question?

There's a lot coming for Seriex X on release. People are still very much about Halo regardless what some want to believe. It still has a huge fanbase.

I would buy it just for Scorn to be honest, if I wasn't going to play it on Windows. It has been a long while since we've had a good old school survival horror title.

Calling the XB Series X the XSEX is so cringe inducing, I can only imagine this guy calling it that:
And to answer OP's question, no I won't be.

-5 year development cycle
-Built on an entirely new engine
-Confirmed to be a soft reboot of the franchise
-Confirmed to be going back to the franchise's roots in regards to gameplay, storytelling, and art style
-New console generation launch game

I think hype is more than warranted in this case. Whether it lives up to it is another story.

I've never had an Xbox before and I don't really have time for multiple consoles, so I don't think I'll ever get one. A lot of the games I like come from japanese companies, so usually it's better to stick with a PlayStation console for that.
