Halo Infinite is one of the several reasons why im buying Xbox Series X day one.
1. Xbox Series X is simply the better overall gaming console period and I simply want the best. Have done this since the days of SNES and haven't been disappointed or letdown yet. Next Gen will be no exception.
2. Multi-Platform games which basically equal 75% of my games once the gen is all said and done will look, run and play better on Xbox Series X.
3. The Controller. I personally have zero issues with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controllers but I absolutely hate the touch pad. Was hoping that it was going to be eliminated as it's just an oversized world map button for 95% of games. A few of the features on the PS5 controller, Xbox already has this gen.
4. Game Pass Ultimate. This is huge. As someone who's not a collector and looking to spend no more than $30 on new releases day one since I buy games on disc and trade them once im done with the game, GPU is fucking awesome. I can play so many games including some I would never ever even think about a chance. If I get some gems out of it, great and if not, only a few hours of my time is wasted. Adding in previous generations of games is also huge because there's some I have never ever played (such as Alan Wake) but im not paying anything to play them. Those days are gone.
Most of all, im getting Microsoft's exclusives day one. Worse case scenario is that each and every exclusive is a $10 monthly rental. As someone who's never played a Halo game, knowing I can go in and play this game for $10 and possibly quit/drop it if I don't like it is so much fucking better than taking a chance on the game for $60. I'll also get games like Gears Tactics which is a 100% guaranteed playthrough and many others as well as third party exclusives such as The Medium which like Halo Infinite, if it wasn't for Game Pass, I simply wouldn't spend my money taking the chance on it and more importantly waste my time.
In addition, you also get a 20% discount if you want to buy a digital game and are a Game Pass subscriber which is cool for those who find a game, love it and want to buy it. For games that are on Game Pass and end up having DLC or expansions such as possibly Halo Infinite, I can simply re-download the game and just buy the expansions if I choose to do so. Either way, im saving a lot of money which can go to more third party games that aren't on Game Pass and most importantly, saving a lot more of my time.
This doesn't include Xbox Game Pass for PC or Live Gold which is even more value but doesn't apply to me whatsoever.
5. The one year timed exclusives such as Godfall and others will end up going to Xbox Series X as better ports and wouldn't be surprised one bit if a game like Kena: Bridge of Spirits ends up being in Game Pass day one.
Halo Infinite is just one of my reasons for purchasing an Xbox Series X day one. Five more months to go!!!
Is it November yet???
