Like GOTY contender good? For a while now I have been hearing that Platinum games lost alot of talent and are basically "cooked". But Having played a good amount of platinum games this to me looks like the best one by far.

Me too, when I saw it was NG4 I was even more confused until I put 2+2 together and figured it was Ninja Gaiden.

It does look very good.

Never understood the claims about Platinum being done, yeah they lost a lot of key people but they have made some excellent games these past few years like Astral Chain or Bayonetta Origins. I think NG4 will be great.

It looks like Bayonetta, which is not surprising considering PG is involved, and Bayonetta is good, it's just not Ninja Gaiden.

So not really that excited.

Gameplay probably good. Everything else bad. Ryu weapons as DLC also bad.

The game is more Platinum Games then actual Ninja Gaiden so bear that in mind.

The level design and art direction look like a hot mess to me. Gameplay looks fun though so hopefully it turns out good overall.

I get the impression that it looks/feels very snappy compared to the other 3D Ninja Gaiden games. Those have a certain weight to it when controlling Ryu.

You can see this is Platinum take on Ninja Gaiden and not just an imitation. And that's completely fine by me, all 3D games play differently anyway.
