How many of you will be purchasing the new xsex day 1 for the new halo

Getting the XSX regardless, but hoping 343 gets thier shit together. Please. Please bring back halo 2/3 Multiplayer with a campaign as open as Halo C.E.

Day One for me.

Halo will be the icing on the cake if they deliver half of what is rumored in the first year (Hellblade 2, new Obsidian that isnt Grounded, Medium, Scorn, Chorus, Gears 5 at 4k 120fps, AC Valhalla, RE8, Cyberpunk, 2nd Extinction).

The sheer fact that I have to wonder "how good" the next Halo is means the answer is no for me.

When they pimped out the multiplayer and went for the COD crap is when Halo died imo

Im day 1 on the SeX but its not really for Halo. Thats a nice bonus but im really just looking at playing my new games on the best hardware and seeing how that hardware boosts my backwards compatible library.

Asking for a commitment without seeing a game play footage is like... do you want to buy a bridge?

Cool story, bro
I will can't wait for a new halo on new hardware day 1

I think I'll buy the XSX eventually but a Day 1 purchase depends on their July event.
They gotta knock it out of the park. And Halo has to be mind blowing tbh.

Wish I still felt that kind of excitement for a new Halo, but I just don't enjoy what 343 have done so far. Not in the same way.

I'll still get Infinite. Because it's still Halo. But no I'm not buying a new console just for it. A Fable reboot from Playground would be the system seller for me.

I'm buying an XSX for Infinite alone, but can't wait to play flight sim 2020 and Forza 8. Plus, I still have gamepass for free for another couple years thanks to that game pass deal a while back, so I'll get all those games for free

Depends how good it is and how the X1 version turns out. If the X1 version is the same or very similar then I don't have to buy a XSEX. I didn't buy a Switch when it first came out because BOTW was basically the same on both consoles except for very minor framerate drops.

They made such a huge deal about the XBONE X 6 teraflops that I feel once you continue making games for XONE base, anything on X, won't look THAT much better on Series X and you might just get folks who just wait out the 2 years if they just don't see a difference worth spending hundreds of dollars.

I was a huge halo fan, I will give infinite a chance with all my love.
And llaunch title for a next gen console?
Sold.

Hell no. Halo lost its luster awhile ago and has been generic lately. Multiplat fps shooters like Doom, COD, Metro etc luckily have pushed forward and been great and better.

Now a new fire "Fable" could get me to think of buying a new nextbox.

Not me, tho I'll be the one weird guy that if I get a next gen console this year, it will be mainly for backward compatibility lmao.

Not for Halo Infinite alone but I would for a Fable that is similar enough to The Witcher 3, a 3rd person Perfect Dark, Alan Wake or Ryse 2
Not much chance of Ryse 2 of Alan Wake I don't think. Perfect Dark or Fable seem likely but not at launch barring a megaton, likely a year or two away still I'd presume.

Since Xbox exclusives such as Halo Infinite will be on Game Pass Day one (both consoles and PC), zero exclusives for two years and with AMD releasing their new GPUs this year before the new consoles, we have been shown zero reason to purchase an XSX.....given you have a decent PC. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I've get $1200 Donald Dollars ready to go.

It's interesting to me to see how many people have "made up their minds" about Halo Infinite.

It's Microsoft's most important game by a massive margin. 343i has been given 5 full years (and a crazy budget) to, seemingly, completely reboot the franchise.

I get not liking FPS games and therefore writing off any and all Halo games. I don't understand people who like FPS games being sure that they won't be interested in Halo.

What's the harm in taking the wait and see approach?

My personal history with Halo...

Halo 1 is one of my top 10 games of all time.

Halo 2 was extremely disappointing to me.

Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 bored me so much I couldn't be bothered to play them.

Halo 5 gave me a small heartbeat of interest with it's fresh multiplayer. Not enough to buy the game or play it more than a few hours.

Halo Infinite - I'm excited to see it.
