309+59,98+12,99 = 380,98€
Got a gift card on my birthday so i saved 15 lol

309 for the switch
59,99 for Zelda
12,99 for the Zelda Switch carry bag originally was 27,99.

Not to bad imo.

Switch Console €330
Screen protector €15
Carry Case €25
Extra Charger €20
Zelda BOTW €60
---------------------
Total €450

Think thats enough for day one, small chance i'll get Bomberman R too though.

The console and that's it. If there's a market for it I will sell it, if not I will wait until I'm done with Horizon to buy Zelda. If I buy Zelda on day one the temptation will be too strong

£279.99 Switch
£49.99 Zelda
£64.99 Pro Controller

Maybe

£74.99 Red/Blue joy cons
£9.99 Third party joy con grip
World of Goo

Already bought

£23.74 SanDisk 128gb Micro SD (on offer)
£5.99 Spare USB C to USB 3.0 cable

Too much in CDN $$

-Neon Switch Console $400
-Neon Joycon Bundle $100
-Joycon Charge Grip $40
-Pro Controller $90
-Hori Screen Protector $13
-Hori Carry Case $15
-Hori stand $15
-Zelda Masters $200 !
-Bomberman $65
-Snipperclips $40

Total with tax is like $1100 but I took advantage of all of the awesome trade promotions at EB Games and only ended up paying about $200

I didn't want to pay the Nintendo tax and buy this early on since I don't expect Nintendo's software output to be very plentiful just like with Wii U. But I just got an offer on my house and we'll close a few days before the Switch launch so I'll have some extra cash... Might as well get a Switch and Zelda and wait for Mario, right? I'll likely be on the road driving cross-country to my new home on 3/3 so trying to get a Switch is going to be fun. No preorder, no nothing. At least I'll be able to stop and try my luck at a few different spots.

Everything from Amazon ES.

Console (gray) => 319€
Pro Controller => 69,95€
Zelda BotW (regular ed.) => 59,90€
Case (official) => 19,95€
---
Shipping => Free
Amazon Premium discounts for preorders => -4€
---
Total => 464,80€ (of course, since it's EU, that's with tax, and just under $500)

* I considered letting go of the Pro Controller for now, but I suspect I'll want it for Shovel Knight Specter of Torment, and that won't take long to hit.
* Maybe The Binding if Isaac Afterbirth+ if I can access the US eShop, which I won't believe until I see it.

After launch:

* Extra dock as soon as they're available! Easy TV switching is my Switch killer app.
* No Micro SD card at launch, that can wait. When I do, though, it'll be a 128GB Sandisk for around 40€. Maybe I'll need it by the time Mario hits?
* If I can find Bomberman for under 25€ (ha ha) I'll bite, although I'd rather get it digital.
* I hope MK8D has a steep discount for owners of MK8+DLC, although I don't expect it.

Haha, technically I'm now spending the grand total of... £0 on my switch at launch. Ended up chucking it on my argos card (along with a case), deal with it in April or may when I can breath a little. I'll still be buying Zelda, a pro controller, the breath of the wild amiibo and probably a sd card, but all of that together was getting pretty up there....then I realised mothers day is in March. I like to make a good effort for my partner on behalf of our kid, go to dinner and so on and that kinda broke the camel's back on the switch bill haha.

Is anyone else getting this HORI premium screen protector? There's a basic version and this 'premium' version and I'm curious of the difference.

Also, I want a pro to apply this for me cause I always have imperfect execution with these things. Maybe I could take it to a phone store? Hmm.

Nothing at launch interests me so im hoping it has a strong set of vc titles for download day one. Other than that I'll probably get a pro controller as well as the console itself.

So that should come out to around 500$ Canadian :/

$300 console
Some games
SD card of indeterminate size and cost

That's it to start with.

Not too worried about software, pretty confident they're holding back on traditional handheld IP announcements to avoid prematurely killing the 3DS. And in any case I don't expect a price drop before the fall and I'd have to buy for Mario anyway...

Grey Switch

So ~$350.

All I need until the next round of heavy hitters and Shovel Knight.

I'd rather have one "yes gimme now" title than a few "ok I guess I gotta play something" titles.

I very much want one but with pre-orders gone, limited stock and scalpers a-plenty, I don't forsee coming across one until September, if not next years. That's the biggest killer of my hype. What's the point to highly anticipate something you won't be able to acquire anyway?

I'm... PRETTY sure the stock will resupply itself by a lot into the next month if you can't get one at launch month. Unless you're not gonna really look for 6 months.

Getting the Switch and Zelda for $360 plus tax. I took part in the GameStop trade in deal and traded in my Wii U and PS3 which allowed me to pay it off in full. Now just looking to get the Pro controller.

You mean assuming I can even get this stuff day one? My ideal Day 1 package would be:

-Switch
-The Legend of Zelda
-Pro Controller

So far I only have been able to secure:

-Pro Controller

Console
Zelda Special Edition
Pro Controller
Charging Grip
AC Adapter

Will get an extra set of Joy Cons and a microSD card at some point in the future

All Canadian Prices

Console with Gray Joy Cons ($399.99)
BOTW ($79.99)
Super Bomberman R ($51.99 with Amazon.ca prime member 20% discount)
L & R Neon Red Joy Cons ($99.99)

$527.98 total

Could have got the same 20% amazon prime discount for BOTW ($63.99 instead of $79.99) but my console preorder is with EBGames, and I didn't want to be in a situation where I picked up the console and had to wait for games to show up.

Will keep an eye out for a carry case and screen protector, like this model, but its currently out of stock.

Since I didn't own a Wii U or play any Wii U games, I will probably get MK8 Deluxe in April as well (from Amazon for the same 20% preorder discount).

Just the console and Zelda right now. I'm realizing I probably want a second full controller, and if the Pro is only $10 more than another full controller (the one that's essentially 2 Joycons, the core controller, what do we call that?), then I'll probably get a Pro. If I can. Are they sold out everywhere already?

$48 for the Wii U version of Zelda BotW. Pity Nintendo didn't want any more of my money than that.

Maybe around late next year, when they've finally made enough Switches for there to actually be one in stock for longer than five minutes, maybe I'll pick one up, especially if they came to their senses enough to bundle it with a game.

Nintendo Switch (Grey) - $320.24
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Special Edition) (Amazon Prime) - $85.39
Pro Controller (Amazon Japan) - $65.61
Neon Blue Joy Con - $85.39
Joy Con Charging Grip - $32.01
Neon Blue Joy Con Strap - $8.53
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (Amazon Prime) - $34.15
Super Bomberman R (Amazon Prime) - $34.15
Snipperclips (Digital) - $19.99
Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protector - $9.99

$695.45

Already pre bought a 200gb micro SD so I don't have to worry about that anymore. Also the Joy Con charging grip and Neon Blue strap are completely unnecessary purchases but I just wanted them for the hell of it, glad I did since both are a bit hard to find now. Going to pay all by tax money which I usually save up for random things but might as well since it's a launch of a new system.

Updated and will now spend the entirety of my £500 budget at launch (stupidly so as I won't get round to playing all these games right away, but want to support this thing out of the gate)

£320 - Switch and Zelda: Breath of The Wild (GAME UK)
£45 - Skylanders
£38 - Super Bomberman R
£32(£37) - Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (plus £5 shipping)
£30 - I am Setsuna

(if available at launch - guessing prices based on previous games prices)

£15 - Fast Racing RMX
£15 - Shovel Knight

£500

Nah I just cancelled my pre-order. That's a shit lineup.

I just cancelled my pre-order as well. Decided to just play Zelda on my Wii U and save the money. Nothing else announced interested me except Mario Odyssey. Also, the peripherals are really expensive and needing to pay to play Splatoon and Mario Kart online rubbed me the wrong way. I'll just continue to play them on my Wii U. It's a shame because the hardware looks great and I would really enjoy some powerful handheld gaming but the value just isn't there right now. Maybe next year.

Switch-300$
Zelda BOTW-60$
Bomberman-50$
200 GB SD card-70$
Some kind of carrying case-no more than 30$

I love Hardware launches

Console = $300
Charging grip = $30
Zelda (digital) = $60

I also have a pro controller preordered but I may not keep it.

If the virtual console is (finally) good I'll probably pick up a few games, but I'm not optimistic.

My updated expenses after hunting down some deals. Everything includes shipping.

Switch, grey - 290€ (due of Amazon FR weirdness, go into the Switch FE thread if you want details)
Zelda - 52€
Pair of extra Joy-Con, neon - 70€
Case - 10€
Pro Controller - 60€

Close to 500€ then, which saves me roughly 70€ compared to German prices. I could still cancel the extra Joy-Con, case and Pro Controller and I don't think I'll need them right away, but I could save 10€ on each of those items and I can't imagine them dropping in price. So I'll be set for the foreseeable future. Maybe the Joy-Con charger could be a good idea but definitely not for launch.

What case is that for just 10€?

Grey console : 299 € (+ 30 € off my next purchase)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild : 39.99 € (Amazon gave me a 10€ voucher because they cancelled my Halo Wars 2 preorder due to a pricing error)

total: 338.99 €

Definitely:

Switch Grey - £260 (£20 deposit paid a month ago)
Zelda - £55
Accessory Set - £16
Eshop Money Card - £50

Maybe:

Bomberman R - £50
1-2-Switch - £35
Binding of Isaac - £35

So £381 for sure and £501 if I'm feeling the other games or, in the former two's case, they review decently. However I'm selling a bunch of stuff I don't need towards it so it'll actually on the day be around £250 as far as my budget is concerned.

Man... I just came here to say that I've moved to the very back car of the Switch hype train. I'm committed to getting the console and Zelda no matter what, but that's about it besides Snipperclips. I also have an Xbox One and a PS4, so I have plenty of options in terms of software. I guess I just feel like there's nothing else that's worth my money, especially when I already own many of the games. Even Mario Kart 8 isn't feeling like I need it on day one anymore as I already played it to death on Wii-U.

Anyone else in the same boat? I feel like I've just come to a place where I've evened out my hype levels. It honestly feels pretty good.

I'm right there with you.
