How often should you work out these muscle groups?

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I've heard you shouldn't work out muscles like the deltoids and trapeziuses(sp?) as often as other muscles. I'm following a workout routine for the deltoids that is supposedly pretty good, but it says to only work them out once a week, although it is a pretty rigorous routine. Is just once a week frequent enough? And what about the traps? For those I do the exercise where you kinda bend over and pull a dumbbell upwards. Same for the deltoids....I use dumbbells.

Any help?

Working any group of muscles intensly (maybe not abs ), once per week is sufficient for muscle growth.


Don't forget to eat a lot of protein!
