So apparently I've had a small breakout of inflammatory dermatitis on my back because I changed laundry detergents. I'm in the process of re-washing everything in my wardrobe using Ivory detergent (as well as towels, sheets, etc.)

I've had symptoms for three weeks now. Every time my shirt touches the affected area it feels like someone is taking a hot cheese grater to my back.

So anyone have any fun allergy stories they'd like to share?

I go to an allergy doctor every three weeks or so and they give me two shots. Been going for three years, dunno when it's all gonna end.

I don't have an allergenist, but I haven't been referred to one. I'd be curious to find out everything I'm allergic to.

I had a bad case of inflammatory dermititis in Kauai. Apparently because it's so humid there, the chemical makeup of the skin changes and someone who is normally sensitive to certain products (sunscreen) becomes more sensitive :lol. So yeah, he basically told me that all I could do when going to Kauai (next time) is to not wear sunscreen at all! Like... sunscreen on my skin is fine... until I go outside :lol. It started on my hands and spread all the way up my arms onto my chest .
Damn you sun!!

So I was prescribed some kind of steroid and cream, and I had to take an allegra everyday. That made for a 1st day of medication being 6 steroid pills, 1 allegra and the use of the cream. :lol

Ugh yeah I got prescribed some cortesone lotion. I absolutely loathe ointments.

"It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again."
