My 2 month trial ends today on the 11th and I tried entering another valid code for an additional two months. It said I needed to use this with a new account. But I've seen a bunch of people seeming to live off these trial cards. So do I need to let this one expire and just make a new gamertag or what? What's the deal GAF?

You can't extend the free trial. You'll have to either subscribe (pay) or make a new account using another 2 month trial.

I would just renew with your current tag. If you don't, you'll lose all your stats, friends list, etc. That's not worth it in my opinion.

You can't extend it. You can make a new account though.

If you are going to pay for Xbox Live anyway, start with a free 2 month trial code then subscribe to Xbox Live to take full advantage of the trial code

Gah, fine Microsoft. I can't go without my Halo 2 action. Well there's an additional $50 this week on top of RE4, Mercenaries and a few DVD's (Fifth Element BABY!!). My wallet needs to gain weight.

I used a 2 month trial card, then got a 3 month starter kit ... but that's just a possible option if you don't have a headset (which I'm guessing you do).
