Kenwood VRS-7100
It's always exciting when a new product is added to the AV123 lineup. However, it's even more exciting when this $500.00 product is practically given away.

I'm proud to announce (as a result of numerous requests and popular demand) AV123's first 100% digital HT receiver...the Kenwood VRS-7100! This phenomenal 6.1 channel (100W/channel @ 6 ohms) receiver offers a full suite of features suitable for even the most complex home theaters including front A/V inputs including optical digital, component HD video inputs, Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, and Pro Logic IIx decoding, preamp level outputs for all 6 channels, and even single-zone, dual source output (headphone output will work independently from powered speaker outputs).

The best news? For a VERY limited time, we are offering this receiver for $99.00 with Tyke and ELT home theater systems. That's $498.00 for a full Tyke 5.1 system! This receiver sells elsewhere for $500.00 ALONE! OR, how about $1098.00 for a complete ELT home theater including everything needed to get your room up and running...and we'll even throw in another LRS (to complete the 6.1 system) for an additional $100.00!

Now for the restrictions...due to the nature of this promotion, we are unable to offer this deal on b-stock or sale items. Normal price on the receiver through AV123 is $399.00. All prices do not include shipping.

Here is the Reciever (just came out last month) this is the one that auto-detects PS2/XBOX & Auto-Selects Game Input and Surround Mode...PLUS it has a remote with pre-programmed PS2 and XBOX IR codes!!!:

The VRS-7100 retails for $500 alone and the cheapest you can find it online is $279 at etronics!! AV123 is selling the new kenwood for NINTY-NINE-FRICKEN-DOLLARS

I think they will probably be offering it for quite a while....you still have time...

The Tykes are great speakers and the Kenwood is unbeatable for $99!!!!!

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Would you recommend this receiver over the Panny digital receiver you and I talked about?

I've lost a lot of tolerance for the usual GA bullshit since Hurricane Charley (Less than 10 miles east of the center of the eye when it passed), but it's posts like these that will always keep me coming back in at least limited form. Now if Hurricane Ivan can get the fuck out of Dodge, I might actually be able to take a deep breathe and consider this. Great post!

That receiver sounds pretty capable. 100w @ 6 ohms? Wow! What does that translate into @ 8 ohms, which the vast majority of HT speakers use? Probably like 120-130 watts per channel.

Where exactly do I have to go to order all of this together? I've managed to find these two items seperately, but not for $500 total. Maybe I'm blind.

Sorry, here is the direct link:

Remember, the kenwood has digital amps, which have >90% efficiency(SP) vs. traditional amps which are around 50-60%

I believe this unit has the TI chipset like the Panasonic, though Matsushita has some proprietary hardware/software they are using in the XR70.....

From what I gather, the Kenwood is at least as good as a Panny XR45....and that ain't bad, to say the least...

Also interested in the quality of the speakers here. One person mentioned that they were good. Does anyone here have experience with them and can back it up?

Edit: Didn't see the reviews in the original post, but still interested in personal experience w/these speakers if anyone has it.
