Hulk Hogan Dead at 71

Back in the day my former colleague interviewed Hulk Hogan. What's not shown but referenced in the interview was that my colleague got overly friendly with the hulkster before the interview and slapped him on the back. Hulk was obviously pissed at this, watch what he does with his gum as payback.

I have no feelings for him beyond him being part of my childhood along with the other WWF costumed wrasslers.

Oh, no. I do have a feeling. Fuck that guy.

I get it. He was a racist and called black people the N-Word (and probably other brown people other slurs)... And endorsed Trump....

But you can't deny who he was in the 80s and 90s to lots of little boys and girls. For a time he was basically Captain America/Superman (especially when he body slammed Andre the Giant). THAT'S who I choose to honor.

All sorrow should go to his children... I met his son once, got a pic with him. Supercool guy! They have my sympathies.

Thanks for checking in. I'm sure you've lived a perfectly moral life and have made no mistakes. Fucking ghouls the lot of you.

I wasn't a huge wrestling fan but growing up in the eighties everyone had some exposure. This video came up in my X feed and I thought it really captured who I thought Hulk Hogan was:

Cody banned him from aew. I think it is good he said something but Cody didn't like the racist stuff that came out. I don't think anyone did. But I think if you talk to a lot of black wrestlers they will tell you hogan helped them and advocated for them. He also apologized to several of them for his use of racial epithets.

Sharon is jewish and Ozzy was Pro-Israel
This is very cool.

The most rock and roll thing Ozzy ever did though? Maybe the bitting the head of the bat in a board room. But in reality, it has to be snorting the live ants. Crazy as hell!

It was a Metallica behind the music years ago on VH1. They asked them the most crazy thing they ever saw. Well, it was Ozzy! I encourage everyone to find it and watch it.

Two legends.

The one thing to note about 'professional wrestling' is how much of a wrestlers popularity hinges on how good they can cut a promo. Stone Cold really didn't become big until he started doing the "Stone Cold said so" and The Rock hit his stride with "The Rock says!"

Macho Man was one of the best at making a killer promo, Hulk Hogan was top tier too. You put them together and they had some legendary promos. Ultimate Warrior and his snarls were killer too.

He bit the head off a dove in the board room when there for a contract signing. The bat was in a concert were someone threw a bat onto the stage. Ozzy said he thought it was a rubber bat but he was pretty heavy on the drugs so didn't realise it was a live bat until he did it.

In Motley Crue's biography "The Dirt", Nikki Sixx told about being with Ozzy on tour. That's when he snorted the ants. As a dare Nikki Sixx pissed on the ground and was going to lick it up but before he could Ozzy got down to the ground and licked it up!

Yes, i believe you're right. Though, it was behind the music were i saw it. I have never read the Motley Crue biography.

I'm not even a wrestling fan and I'm a big Dragon Ball fan and I think Hulk passing away at 71 is hitting me harder than Akira passing away at his young age (early 60s, I think). Hulk just personified energy and the American spirit.
