Humble Nintendo Indie Bundle for the Americas

Probably not gonna partake. I own Guacamelee, OlliOlli, and Steamworld on Steam and Mighty Switch Force on 3DS and I don't really care about the rest.

I will say that, region lock aside, this sets a great precedent.

A regular Humble Bundle is always two weeks.

Should be the first Humble Origin Bundle with 2,136,893 sold and US$10.54+ M
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Humble_Bundles.

1) 2 weeks. Weekly bundles last for a ...week,
2) The last few bundles haven't been very good, so the numbers are dropping https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Humble_Bundles

HIB5 earned $5.09 M
HIB14 earned $1.01 M

Thanks to both of you!
Fyi, HIB is over 4,200 bundles sold currently.

I could swear I see PSN sales limited to a region all the time. Strange, maybe I'm imagining things.
Even if you have a European account and console, you can still make an NA account and be able to purchase the NA games and still be able to play it on your European Console/account on an Xbox or Playstation.

You cannot play NA Nintendo games on a European 3DS or WiiU. Or am I wrong?

Note to newbies: the target average is set at the time of purchase. This means if you beat the average now, you're guaranteed to get the bonus games next week. Likewise, if you don't beat the average now and want to upgrade your bundle later, you have to pay the difference between your contribution and the average at time of purchase (not the current average) in order to get the upgrade.

Is this confirmed to work in all of the Americas but Brazil? Because I recall somebody using an US code from those Club Nintendo rewards with a peruvian(I think it was) account and didn't work, but worked with an US one.

Either way it's a very interesting development, I wonder we could see some old big titles on it down the line.

Sure, I'm in for $10. Do this more often, Nintendo!

Condolences to my non-'murica Gaffers

So there's still one more game that will be forthcoming for beat the avg'ers?

Interesting that this is for the eShop but there's almost nothing in it I don't already have.

Are we sure "Nintendo" is the one behind this or is it a group of indie pubs that got together to do this for the platform?

You're not wrong.

Since the site says: "We've teamed up with Nintendo..." I'd say it was Nintendo.

Thanks for the heads up

Can anyone tell me how long I have to use the codes, since I don't have much space on my system.

First I said WOW and wanted to congratulate Humble for securing a big player like Nintendo and Nintendo for playing ball with Humble and making this possible.

Then I said WOW when I saw that I could get 5 WiiU games for 10 bucks, which is a great deal and much better than their usual overpriced eshop pricing.

Then I said WOW and facepalmed when I saw that this was region locked to the Americas only.

classic Nintendo fail :lol

This is a completely different issue than the one being discussed. The fact that Wii U and 3DS are locked and don't allow accounts from other regions is a big problem, but the one being discussed here is that Nintendo region locked a humble bundle. I'm arguing that this is an absurd thing to say, because humble bundles sell discounted keys to a digital store and said console digital stores are region locked, unlike PC stores. Even if you can activate different region accounts on one PS4, every sale is region locked.

Not that it couldn't be done, of course it could, but there's no difference between this and seeing region specific sales on PSN or eShop, just that you're buying through humble bundle. The issue here is that NoE didn't participate in this as well, not that Nintendo actively region locked a humble bundle.

That is an awesome bundle. Already played Guacamelee and Steamworld Dig, the others don't interest me that much. Curious about the not yet revealed game(s) though. Oh well I'm EU anyway so. :I
But still I'm impressed at the quality of the bundle. Really well done by Nintendo and Humble Bundle.

Blame the dev/pub for the pricing, not Nintendo. If these indies wanted to price these very same games on the eShop for $0.01 they could do so.

Screw you and your region-locking bullshit, Nintendo. Just when I start thinking well of them (Zero localisation), they always remind me why I should dislike and avoid them. Now they've tainted Humble Bundle with their crap.

Let's get real here.

Digital stores are region-locked on other platforms too. Different codes for different regions. That's just how it works. Now you say "just offer either/or" and then I remind you that not all of the games included in this bundle are available in both regions and then this whole thing makes way more sense. Plus we've always known that NOA and NOE are separate entities doing their own stuff.

Cut down the hyperbole please. Of course it sucks that not everyone can take part in this but applying some common sense and reason surely isn't too much too ask?
Rhetorical question since it apparently is.

Pretty cool first but region locking rears its ugly head again. On console i already have my humble bundle sort of. PS+ gives better games in my opinion each month for about the minimum buy in of a dollar a month for me.

It's almost like a HB every month except they aren't mine to keep. But when we are talking console there really is no such thing as "to keep".

The video says that, yes, Nintendo of America is involved.

OK, thanks. Kind of odd considering Iwata's stance about devaluing games. I realize this is only for indie titles and will probably not contain any actual Nintendo software but I'm still kind of perplexed that NoJ would approve such a move if they had the power to block it. Unless of course the sales of these games were terrible on N platforms and they are basically doing anything they can to be accommodating to indie devs/pubs.

53k sold and counting. Average purchase is $9.28 now. That's not little when you consider this:
