So when's DQ 11 release again? he's going to need to start his vacation at least a month and a half before that. He's got two versions to play so it'll be 2018 or 2019 before he returns after the next break starts.
No way near. New arc is going to be huge, so no way it's getting finished in the next decade haha.
The fact that Gon and Killua seem to be out for this arc is one of the most interesting aspects of this one for me. We've have had too many Gon & Killua plus supporting cast arcs, its time for Leorio and Kurapica to get their due.

He's off gallivanting with Nanika. Even though she has direct ties to the Dark Continent, they have zero story path (so far) to make an appearance at all.
I was just talking to a coworker who just finished watching Hunter x Hunter about the manga / the author, complaining that we would probably never get another chapter.
Then boom, the announcement. I don't know if I should be excited or not. I don't know if my heart could take another hiatus after like 3 chapters. Any date news?

Not even close from the looks of it. This arc seems to be expanding on the world, literally, in a fairly significant way and increasing the scale of events to an even larger level than the CA arc.

I just find it crazy that he's married to a world renowned mangaka and doesn't take advantage of that. I mean, sure, he could hire assistants to replicate his art style but he has his god damn wife. Come on, man, that's as personal as it gets.

Yeah, it looks like the next 10 chapters may be spent on the boat/whale thing alone (insert berserk flashback nightmares), considering everything that's going on with the fight for being the "successor", kurapika, etc.

I highly doubt she would want to do that, didn't she work as his assissant and manager during HxH volume 1 and left shortly afterwards.
I imagine the exact words that go through her mind at the thought is I ain't got no time for that.

Well this is a dilemma, I decided to leave this tale closed once I finished the anime and was content enough, now I'm going to get lured into catching up on what little else came next so I can be fully up to date and carry on and then BAM, return of the hiatus!

At this point I already gave up on seeing the manga getting done. They might release new chapters, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes in another hiatus in a few months.

You mean you expect it to, since that's actually how Togashi consistently works and has done so for over a decade. Which will only stop when or if he decides to actually end the story.

I wonder if Togashi is intimidated by what he set up? The known world is just an island in a lake surrounded by terrors that make the chimera ants seem like fleas, and the most powerful characters in the world were just barely able to beat them. How could anyone explore the larger world?
I hate how accurate this probably is.
He'll come out with stick figures, and we'll long for the days when he scribbled.
I didn't like Kurapika because he looked too feminine to me. Then I watched the 2011 series and homie single handedly took on the Phantom Troupe. Too good.

Really looking forward to that
in the current arc. There's definitely some set up for some interesting characters and challenges particularly if Gon and Killua get involved so it was a bummer that the hiatus hit

He should have written Gon out of the plot and kept Killua.
It sucks he put Killua on the the bus since he was my favorite character. Maybe Kurapika and Leorio will come back? Gon is probably my least favorite out of the four.
It gets redrawn when volumes come out.
To me the series was all about Gon/Killua, Kurapika and Leorio being supporting cast members, though they were great especially during the spider arc.
He realized the wrongs of his ways and is now quietly farming somewhere and reading a lot.

See folks, this is what happens when you all post that crap from 130 chapters and years ago! Besides the redrawing in old volumes, recent chapters have looked fine! Spoilered the more spoiler-y stuff for anime-only folks who are interested in catching up!
