I forgot the one that hit us (DC Metro area) last year. That was pretty cool. Power was out and everything!

I don't know why but I love hurricanes and bad weather. Looks like my area might get whooped by some winds and heavy rain from Frances since I'm in the northern part of Puerto Rico, specifically between the white area covered by the Hurricane.

The time I spent in Japan I was expecting vicious typhoons of legendary proportions. All I got were pussy storms not even worth mentioning. Now I'm back here and the States are getting the vicious storms but they come nowhere near Atlanta.

I want a mighty storm. And I want one NOW.

Frances is now a CAT 4 hurricane. And many models projecting a Florida hit. Damn Florida can't take another major hurricane.

Florida is being punished for the 2000 Presidential Election.

Michael Moore had a movie. Paul O'Neill had a book. God has hurricanes.

It really is a hurricane sandwich for Floridians if it comes to worse. If it's any consolation I'll buy the hurricane for 10 cents. That's a good price for a sizable package of aerial fury, no?

This is going to suck for two reason: 1) My parents trying to sell the house. Its almost closed on, too, if not already. But if its not, and this thing hits and a lot of damage is done to the house...well....... :(

2) Don't want it to hit FL anyway. Living inland, I thought I was OK, but Orlando got fucked up by Charley. Same could happen to me.

Woo! Just what we need another major hurricane, well here's hoping it makes a 90 degree turn, if not once again Central Florida seems pretty fucked.

New Jersey is looking to get worked over by Gaston.

*crosses fingers for a day off work*

EDIT: looks like Gaston is no longer much of anything, according to weather.com. All it means is that I got my car washed this afternoon for nothing.

Gosh it disturbs me to see you, Gaston
Looking so down in the dumps
Ev'ry guy here'd love to be you, Gaston
Even when taking your lumps
There's no man in town as admired as you
You're ev'ryone's favorite guy
Ev'ryone's awed and inspired by you
And it's not very hard to see why
No one's slick as Gaston
No one's quick as Gaston
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston's
For there's no man in town half as manly
Perfect, a pure paragon!
You can ask any Tom, Dick or Stanley
And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on
Lefou and Chorus:
No one's been like Gaston
A king pin like Gaston
LeFou:
No one's got a swell cleft in his chin like Gaston
Gaston:
As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating!
Lefou and Chorus:
My what a guy, that Gaston!
Give five "hurrahs!"
Give twelve "hip-hips!"
LeFou:
Gaston is the best
And the rest is all drips
Chorus:
No one fights like Gaston
Douses lights like Gaston
LeFou:
In a wrestling match nobody bites like Gaston!
Bimbettes:
For there's no one as burly and brawny
Gaston:
As you see I've got biceps to spare
LeFou:
Not a bit of him's scraggly or scrawny
Gaston:
That's right!
And ev'ry last inch of me's covered with hair
Chorus:
No one hits like Gaston
Matches wits like Gaston
LeFou:
In a spitting match nobody spits like Gaston
Gaston:
I'm espcially good at expectorating!
Ptoooie!
Chorus:
Ten points for Gaston!
Gaston:
When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs
Ev'ry morning to help me get large
And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs
So I'm roughly the size of a barge!
Chorus:
Oh, ahhh, wow!
My what a guy, that Gaston!
No one shoots like Gaston
Makes those beauts like Gaston
LeFou:
Then goes tromping around wearing boots like Gaston
Gaston:
I use antlers in all of my decorating!
Chorus:
My what a guy,
Gaston!

So is Frances going to be a bitch or what?

Looks like it's gonna F up South and North Carolina pretty good. Latest reports having going near Charlotte around Sunday evening, but it's still early.

This storm is freaking huge and organized, not a good combo.

latest track up at the first post..

ITS GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

Damn it, I'm scheduled to fly into Tampa on Sunday. Now I have a day to look forward to hanging out in Newark Airport.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Bad weather is cool as long as the power doesn't go out and I have plenty of green to smoke.

Frances should turn north and fuck up the Carolinas. They haven't had enough misery apparently. I don't want anything to hit Miami until I get the fuck out of here. Besides the low pay, Miami's only other downside is the potential for some really bad weather. PEACE.

water being brought by the damn truckload

ITS HURRICANE PANIC TIME!!!!!

My cousin and his new bride just moved to Jacksonville in July. Hope they'll be all right... on the other hand, I sure as hell am glad these things are staying out of the Gulf, knock on wood.

Hundreds of thousands of people were told Wednesday to get ready to evacuate as powerful Hurricane Frances crept closer to Florida just weeks after Hurricane Charley's rampage. It would be the worst double hurricane strike on one state in at least a century.

Generators were hefted off store shelves, along with water, canned goods and other emergency supplies as forecasters warned the core of the Category 4 storm with 140-mph top sustained winds was due along Florida's Atlantic coast late Friday or early Saturday.

About two dozen people lined up Wednesday morning at a Home Depot store west of Miami, waiting to pay for items such as generators, tarps, flashlights and batteries.

A Home Depot to the south in Florida City, ground zero during Hurricane Andrew 12 years ago, more than doubled its daily sales, ran out of generators and plywood and pushed $50,000 worth of lumber out the doors Tuesday, said Lisa Ftiffler, assistant store manager.

"We are completely out of stock of plywood," she said Wednesday. "We are waiting on another truck. We have people since 5 a.m. waiting for generators and the plywood."

I still the horrible memories of people waiting all night in endless lines for supplies. Kind of like waiting for the release of the PS2 at the Sony Store in new york or what not. only not as fun..

Voodoo don't fail me now!

We just got hit HARD here in Richmond, VA.

pics of the destruction

Had a friend trapped along with coworkers on the second floor of her restaurant. There was at least 10 feet of water in the building. Her car got swept away too.

I consider myself VERY lucky, nothing happened to me, my car, or my house.

Fuck you Mother Nature. Looks like it might be Palm Beach and Okeechobee...thereabouts. Roughly the same distance Andrew was from me in Hallandale. So I guess if it's just wind with minimal flooding, we'll be fine. The roof could go though. It's a real piece of shit. I went and got my hurricane supplies tonight. It consisted of cheetah print fabric for my car interior, and some dress clothes for work. :D Actually, I pressured my sister into buying groceries. It's a madhouse even at Walmart. She was gonna buy cat litter instead of getting groceries. I gotta head out soon and shore up some emergency tokage. :D Fresh supplies apparently, which will help any potential natural disaster tolerable. PEACE.
