Fuck, forgot Roo was in Mecico too! Stay safe man!
Thanks, man.
I'm in a relatively safe area but I'm still worried. Have some dear friends living in Puerto Vallarta.

Similar intensity to Andrew at landfall.
Good. I couldn't believe they were still discussing if they should have it earlier this very afternoon. No soccer should be had in any stadium tomorrow in the area.Guadalajara's derby, Chivas-Atlas has been cancelled.

Any fellow GAFfers in the southwest? I'm in Monterrey so we're expecting heavy rains tomorrow but not what my bros in Jalisco, Colima and Nayarit are experiencing now.Stay safe Mexico gaf
That was the video I was trying to link you guys earlier. Some video from Tenacatita, Jalisco. Not sure if posted before.
Wow... The wind just exploding at the end... Super scary
@weatherchannel: A station near Cuixmala, Mexico (landfall point) reported 185 mph winds, gusts to 211 mph before losing data. (Estación de Biología Chamela)
God damn.
That's... not good.God damn.
Its getting windy....
Yup. Other than wind, things seem pretty calmWell, rain is gone but is getting a little windy here (East of GDL)
I'm assuming we won't see any winds from this in New Mexico based on the storm's trajectory?
Has there been any mention of it going into the gulf and intensifying again and posing a possible threat to the u.s?

So far 0 casualties according to state autorities. Let's hope it keeps that way.
Everything I've read suggests that the mountainous terrain it's going over in Mexico will likely be the end of Patricia.
Hurricanes have survived landfall before, and will survive it again.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFM1X0o2pnc
Thank goodness for that large land mass to the south.
C'mon man.. really?
Hurricanes have survived landfall before, and will survive it again.
In this case I think odds are strongly against, since (1) it seems like it will stay inland, and (2) it has to deal with some mountains. Even if it drifts back into the Gulf, there may not be enough left of it to do anything.
Eh ok fair enough. It just seems really unlikely to me, and somewhat unnecessary to worry about right now.
