Hype Check - Black Ops 3

I got it preordered let's hope amazon delivers it by release day.

Question. I fell off the CoD train awhile ago but does this game have character vanity? I think Advanced Warfare had from stream thumbnails but I get them confused in my head.

I max-prestiged BO2 because Treyarch knows how to make proper MP maps. The next two years were awful (played less than a month on each subsequent COD) and this year looks suspect due to wall-running and boost-jumping. Ugh, Treyarch.

Day 1 on Ps4

What other game this holiday is delivering this much content?

Seriously? What other console game offers this much this holiday

-single player campaign
-multiplayer arena
-offline bots
-theater
-league play
-zombies
-throwback zombies
-wall running challenge mode
-possible zombie campaign after beating the game?

Plus all that customization the game offers from emblems to painting your guns

The last two COD's were bad
When I heard treyarch got pushed back another year I was let down....but now, 3 years in the making

This is the most hyped cod game since bo2. For the first time in awhile I'm very excited for a cod game, and just from the beta we already know it has the potential to be one of the bests. It's a good feeling

I'm actually getting much more stoked about this the closer the release date becomes. I wasn't too big on the beta but I actually quite enjoy the Treyarch games so I'll probably end up getting it on release day or shortly after on Christmas, along with Halo 5.

I haven't finished Blops 2 campaign but I do have 3 preordered

I think Blops 2 has the best campaign since, well, Blops 1. If you aren't really feeling it that's understandable but maybe give it another try. I think it did some of the most interesting stuff that has been done in a COD campaign.

I can only tolerate a few hours of COD a year so I got my fill during the beta. SP is just forgettable nonsense to me these days. AW's campaign was praised but it was the most paint by the numbers shit I've played in a while. I'm glad it keeps money flowing into the industry but it's basically a dead franchise for me now.

I'm not an every year COD guy, but the last one I was really into at all was blops1, so I'm excited for this one. I picked up blops2 on PC, but only a few months ago to run through the campaign...got about half way through and tried my hand at the multiplayer and I was so bad that I'm unsure I'm going to enjoy blops3 to its fullest...but I'm gonna try.

This is going to be my first cod in gaf, what can I expect? Do you guys do some sort of tournaments or games with members? Make teams? Etc

Black Ops 2 was about as close to perfection as they have gotten in the multiplayer portion of any CoD game. My literal only complaint was quickscoping, but I've come to accept that it's just part of CoD and I need to get over it. The beta made me a believer too, in Treyarch we trust.

I am always hyped for COD.

Also, I love cyberpunk crap, so I'm even more excited for this years game.

Plus Halo 5 MP still isn't working for me, and I'm kinda sick of destiny at the moment.

Agreed about bo2

Glad there was a beta too, it put my fears to rest, specially after having 2 years of bad cod

In treyarch we trust

I'm looking forward to it but I'm not hyped if that makes sense. I don't really get hooked on the multiplayer like I used to years back but I enjoy my yearly dose of COD - the single player, coop and multi I always enjoy for a while before forgetting about it until the next year. I know that I'll usually get something solid I get enjoyment and my moneys worth from, even Ghosts for example I enjoyed it's ridiculous single player and extinction.

I'm kinda curious actually. Haven't bought a CoD since MW3 and haven't really enjoyed one since MW2. I'll keep an eye on it for sure.

yeah I think I was mostly playing it while sleep deprived. thanks, I do plan on jumping in before 3 drops. and for the record, I finished 1 and loved it so I feel like I have an obligation to finish 2 instead of going straight to 3

I did finish the campaign for Advanced Warfare and I liked that one too

This will be my first COD game, every year I debate whether I should get it and every year I flake at the last minute because there might be something better to get. This year I'm taking the plunge. The amount of content is crazy, and the early feedback on MP has been good.

Looking forward to it a lot.

I am weak and always get sucked into the CoD hype like the week before release (just pre-ordered my copy last night... GCU at Best Buy and their $10 gift certificate makes this a nice deal).

But I am happy to support Treyarch who puts in offline bots for me to kill time with, since I don't touch mp otherwise.

Really stoked actually. This is my most excited since MW2 probably. I loved Blops 2 but had little excitement for it leading up to it. Im more of a Treyarch guy i think. Blops 1 was incredible.

I'm not sure right now. I want Star Wars but BO3 looks like it's offering more. But PC or PS4. Maybe PS4 cause the wife may want to try zombies. Decisions decisions.

Not really hyped at all. There once was a day when Call of Duty releases were a big fucking deal to me, but that time has passed.

I'm a sucker though, so still day 1. BLOPS has always been pretty good.

From someone that didn't follow anything regarding this game, why are people saying there's a huge amount of content? I'm genuinely interested, I just need more info.

Really hyped for this one. I've not really played the Black Ops ones in the past but I've heard good things. Also my friends are actually getting this one so I'm ready for some zombie co-op which I haven't had since World at War.

I'm pretty excited for it. Halo 5 is not going over too well with me so I'm expecting this to be my holiday blockbuster shooter of choice. I did enjoy the demo quite a bit so I'm hoping the full game delivers.

There's a full campaign with co-op, a full zombie based co-op campaign with story, and the multiplayer that you can get hundreds of hours of fun from if you enjoy it and spend time unlocking all the weapons and add ons.

I just wanna see how they end the trilogy.

Trilogy?

World at War
Black Ops
Black Ops II
Black Ops 3
