Hype Check - Black Ops 3

Looking forward to this one because my friend and I actually loved the Beta. I've been burned by the past couple CoDs, they were just too hectic and annoying to play.

Also, apparently one of the multiplayer maps is set in WW2, but it's a simulation. So maybe the campaign has some simulated moments in WW2 as well. Hopefully they have split timelines like they used to have and not just modern/future missions.

Probably due to AW's notorious skill-based matchmaking.

Just FYI Black Ops III is going back to prioritizing your connection to eachother above all else :D
 
I just pre ordered it, worst case scenario is that I will play through the campaign and then sell it next week on ebay for £35.

I enjoyed Advanced Warfare more than any other recent CoD game, wasn't hyped for this at all until I started reading all the stuff it has in it. I also have nothing to play this weekend before fallout so this fits in well.

lol well, I never fully grew accustom to the exo movements, either. I preferred playing without it. But I didn't know they matched based on skill! Good to know.
 
Does anyone know if this "complete weapons list" is legit or not? Seems like there really arent that many weapons this go round. Esp on the secondaries front.

I think Black Ops 3 is going to be another decline for the series. I know quite a few people who usually buy CoD every year that were turned off by the beta.

As far as I know it is. As with Black Ops II, they seemingly prioritized quality over quantity and didn't want to fill up the list with too many redundant entries, while still ensuring they cover every archetype you'd expect. Should also note that every weapon seems original, not reskins like most games use.
 
After seeing
that robot tear apart the player character
I absolutely HAD to pre-order. Now I can't wait to see that scene on my big screen!

So here is my hype meter:
0-20 = no or tiny interest
21-50 = will check reviews when it comes out, might buy if it reviews extremely well
51-70 = will look up news and most likely buy sometime in the future
71-90 = will buy very early
91-95 = will buy on day 1
96-100 = insane hype!!!!

Black Ops 3 is currently sitting at 95.
 
Very hyped...but more so to be done with Advanced Warfare than i am to actually be playing Blops 3...the beta was good, but i have my concerns about the game...

I can get behind that in general... i just cant believe there are only 3 pistols?! That cant even cover the major pistol archetypes. Everything else looks good.
 
Fucking pumped for this snatching it up day one. Haven't bought a COD in 3 years now, (i was interested in AW tho but never got around to buying it) last one i got was Blops 2 lol, which was dope as hell. Treyarch always delivers man, put countless hours in the first two games. Hearing about that
zombiefied campaign
and the return of Dead Ops Arcade? Holy shit! So much content in here!
 
I have the game stop bundle on pre-order but I'm debating on if I want to keep it for just Zombies. I did not really enjoy the beta. It felt to clunky to me.

Brutality Warning

I get hyped for COD every year and this year is no different. Last year AW had my hopes up and I enjoyed playing momentum for a month or so before I got tired of the exo-suits and quit. I actually enjoyed Ghosts more than AW because of Infected. I've got the PS4 DD pre-loaded and ready to go. Can't wait.
 
Black Ops 1 was my favorite CoD tied with MW2. I must reiterate: I'm super hyped for this. Trey has always made sure to make lots of guns viable in the series (looking at you IW and the Famas/M16).

As someone who still plays BO2 multiplayer today, the one thing that put me off during the recent beta was the TTK. It felt like how it was in Ghosts and for me it puts a bit of downer on BO3. I'll still be buying it on Friday though and it'll just take getting used to I suppose.
 
On a scale of "Hot shit in a champagne glass" to "Cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup", this game is "moldy cow pie in a springtime forest".

I am excited BO3. I will get the game on friday at Best Buy and get it for $47.99. I dont usually get season passes for Call of Duty games but this I am because of the zombies mode and it will be $5 off at best buy this week.
 
okay, so I'll will get it on PC.
and I really want the "Der Riese" Remake "The Giant".

is the only way to get that map, to buy the digital deluxe edition with includes the season pass and costs 99€?
 
I bought every Call of Duty (including 1 on PC and not including 3) up to the original Black Ops. Since then, I've played the series on rentals. The only single player campaign I did not finish was Ghosts.

EDIT: I'll likely rent this one, too.

I'm hyped but at the same time I'm not going to buy a day one. I'm hoping somebody somewhere will have it on sale before Christmas for $40 then I'll nab it.

anyone know if Bumper Jumper made it into BO3 in any form? I dont think it was in the Beta but i'd love to use it if its in the retail version.
 
So hyped I might even buy the Season Pass. I got the one for Black Ops 2 half-off a year after release, and I play that to this day. Really want that second Zombies map on release.

That's the one thing that has me worried. Sniping seemed pretty bad during the beta. They removed the auto-aim, but didn't buff anything else. With the quicker pace of the game, the scope-in time felt way too slow in the beta.

This is the first time I buy a game because a lot of my friends (8) are getting it. We are all in our late 20's so is fucking weird. I was way more excited about AW, but this one doesn't look half bad.
