I believe in Tim Tebow

The guy's allowed to be religious, and it's not like he's flapping his beliefs around like some dick waving party at ProtoCents house. Most people are just jokingly using his strong religious beliefs as a reason for all the ridiculous come backs and wins. That's not something he can control.

Uh every interview he mentions God. Every single one. Fuck him. Fuck the completely bigoted horse (bronco) he rode in on and fuck the Broncos period. He got all that was coming to him. He's not good. The media hyped him up. And his team lost by 35 points and it wasn't even that close.

Close this thread, he and his team are an embarrassment to the NFL and the playoffs.

i dont blame tim tebow for the loss tonight. pats are just that good.

Tim Tebow loves you.

He may not be the best QB out there but he tries to be a better person, and at least in some cases he is making the difference to some people in need.

ahahaha look at you

One of the worst QB's ever and without any doubt he is the least accurate. Even Derek Anderson and Jamarcus Russel were more accurate. He is far worse than even those 2 guys.

Yeah, that matters. Oh wait he is a complete homophobe piece of shit. He's a scumbag.

Yeah he's a scumbag just because he doesn't approve of gay people.

He helps a ton of people and does a lot of charity work. But yup total dirtbag all because gay people don't have his approval.

He's a homophobic religious zealot. He doesn't win anything

Lol. Some of you hardcore atheist fucks really just need to pull the thin veil away and admit you hate him because he's a Christian. Then take a look in the mirror and ask yourself whether you're in any position to be making character judgments.

Tebow helps more people in a day than most people help in a year. Hate on him for being an overhyped qb, fine, but there's pretty much no way to argue that he's a bad person.

Well he's ultra religious so it stands to reason he doesn't approve of gays and their lifestyle. I don't know if he's ever said anything on the topic but it would be shocking if someone as hardcore religious as him supported them.

I spend approximately an hour a day prayer and reading the Bible. Does that make me ultra religious?

I think we shouldn't make the assumption his approval/disapproval of homosexuality.

Horrible QB, and pretty damn good human being.

Despite the good things he does listed in the OP, I think it is pretty clear from this article that Tim Tebow is a seriously flawed person.

Well, of course it was to those of us in the UF/Florida area. IIRC, the Gainesville Sun or Florida-Times Union had an article with him/his family after UF's win in 2008 or thereabout and I think it was stated he was homeschooled and only played high-school football for a public school near him.

Jacksonville is a bit conservative in comparison to liberal Gainesville. Which means a few more religious nutters. In the south-east, AKA: Bible belt states.

Connect the dots. I'm not surprised if he was taught to hate gays and atheists and puppy-kickers. But that article shows he isn't an evil person. Maybe misguided with his religious beliefs but I doubt he honestly wants to stop gay/atheist/whoever people from doing something.

Yes. Well, perhaps not according to American standards, but in western-Europe you would be considered bible belt material.

Also no, someone who hates gay people can never ever be a good person. He can do good deeds, sure, but he cannot be a good person.

Well it's time to root for Aaron Rodgers, he won't let me down.
His celebrity crush is Ellen and he's in a bromantic relationship with Ryan Braun.

What about people who love French culture but kinda hate the French?

Oh I think that is ultra religous even by American standards. Europeans need to also relise the number of non-religous people are growing in the US, especially amongst white males.

I was reliving an episode of The Simpsons last night

"It's 7-21 in the 2nd quarter, it's still good! It's still good!"

"It's 7-35 in the 3rd quarter, it's still good! It's still good!"

"It's 10-45 in the 4th quarter, it's still good! It's still good!"

Then they spent too long on what should've been their first of 5 or 6 touchdown drives. ;____;

Still I hope Tebow can stick around for next season. There were some very good games recently by other teams, but the Broncos are starting to be fun to watch again.

OK. So I am ultra religious.

But I don't have an issue with homosexuality at all.

Granted, I've been kicked out of churches.

No. Tebow is a god awful fucking QB. He cannot throw the ball worth a shit, and the defense were worn out from being out on the field for so long.

lol, I'm pretty sure Brady scored on the first two possessions before anybody had a chance to get tired and kept on scoring throughout the game.

Tebow needs a lot of work on his quarterbacking skills, but he is a big strong athelete, he's got a strong arm, throws a pretty good deep ball, and he can run.

He also seems to be a pretty good team leader, and he's a clutch performer. If he can improve his fundamentals in the off-season, he might be the Denver QB for a long time, and if he cant' this might be short lived.

You know a majority of NFL players (or professional athletes in North America) are probably Christian, right? They don't get hate on all the same. Maybe, just maybe, there's something more to this than your dumb generalization.

Wow... Somebody really needs a xanax or 5.

Right. Tebow's being portrayed as some gay hating nutjob despite exactly zero quotes to back it up, only the fact that he's religious... and I'm the one making dumb generalizations?

I really love the assumptions people are making that Tebow hates gay people just because he is religious.

Fuck off with that bullshit. Please.

He did a Super Bowl ad for Focus on the Family, an organization that donated more than half a million dollars to the anti-gay Proposition 8 campaign. It's not a stretch.

Vegas made a killing off of Tebow fanatics. A bunch of people came in to town and bet on the Broncos apparently lol.

The best part was the local news interviewed some of them after the game and they were still blinded. "I know it was a long shot, but he could have pulled it off! It almost happened! Just a couple of plays didn't go his way."

The payoff for a Texans ML and Broncos ML parlay was a helluva lot more intriguing than anything to do with Tebow. I threw $20 at it just for shits and giggles.

Well maybe I am crazy, but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

What does that make the Steelers?

Same here, without the being kicked out of churches part. lol.

Not every Christian has these bigoted beliefs. Sadly that what the media portrays.

Dude kiss a girl or go for a walk. Something.

From FB:

Tim Tebow threw for 136 yards Saturday. The best applicable Bible verse with that combination of digits in that order (and yes, I checked them all) was Mark 13:6:

"Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many."
