The man has a point.
Looking at the game today, we see that teams can adjust to Denver's game. Lets see if one offseason can change him into some miraculous great NFL QB. I truly root that he can do it, but I also realize that every single QB is trying to do the same thing every season and it turns out that a good few can be great QBs in the NFL, even then they are criticized before they win Super Bowls. Look at Eli Manning, who was hated even after winning one, while having some fundamental skill from the start. It will be interesting to see if perception carries him to become some great instant HOF player so soon without proving it.

Sunday against the Steelers:
It was exactly 3 years to the day after Tebow and led Florida to a National Championship and wore eyeblack with John 3:16. The last time he was allowed to wear eyeblack with Bible verses
He had:
316 yards passing
31.6 yards per completion, an NFL playoff record
31.6 million viewers. Another record.
Oh you know, Tebow went up against a team that is good.
Why the hell do people not shut up about him if their team isn't really that good? I don't even watch football but I've been hearing about him a lot lately.
I got an email.

Yeah, Elway at this point has his own challenge for sure. We don't know much about Elway so far as he has to prove himself as well. His future may lie in his ability to make Tebow work out. That team may well have done as well with a no name QB standing behind that offensive line and making a few chance complete passes at the right time. I mean, is it really Tim, or is it just that the entire team (defense) that took this team to the playoffs? Honestly I think the old hurt Steelers laid an egg, and made Timmy look really good for a game. They have a lot to prove, and it will be a lot harder next season. Again I want to root, but he has to show me something special other than some lucky passes behind a very good O-line. I do think his size and running ability are difficult to account for, but we know that style of play has been stopped before. This team has a ton of building to do before tebow can ever hope to capitalize on his potential, no matter how hard he's willing to work. It's gonna take some time and Elway may end up giving up on him before everything can come together. I hope that doesn't happen though, because Denver is a 5-win team talent wise, and he helped them get to the playoffs and beat a really good Steeler team. There's potential there.

People love rooting for the underdog. Why the hell do people not shut up about him if their team isn't really that good? I don't even watch football but I've been hearing about him a lot lately.
The entire team was exposed for how awful they are. I'm amazed they were able to make it this far with a subpar O-Line and receiver to boot.Their defense that all the hater analysts said was amazing and the reason for Tebow's success was exposed for how awful they actually are.
Eh... even smart people can believe dumb shit.I got an email.

Because he is a good Christian boy. Really it is the religion aspect that people go nuts over. Read the link someone just posted to learn why it is ok to not like him. I dont follow sports, but everyone talks about him at work and his book is super popular, so I had to learn more.
Needless to say, I am glad he got steamrolled tonight. Too much hype can lead to backlash.
It's really because he is a good person. The religion aspect doesn't have to be a factor at all if you are a rational human being.
All I ever hear about from people is the religion aspect, so that has clouded my vision of him.

Too bad he can't leave his religion off the field, like any other professional person doing his or her job.
If you dropped to the ground in prayer every time you did your job correctly, people at your work would probably find it inappropriate.
Pfft who cares? It's no different than a dude doing an endzone dance after a TD or spiking the ball.
Tim Tebow's annoying because of the fervent amount of support behind him when it's pretty obvious that he's a mediocre athlete.
Otherwise he's a nice dude and I don't care if he's religious or anything.

We get it. You hate religion.
You would probably be the guy who files a lawsuit against your employer because someone prayed in the office
It's quite obvious that Tebow feeds off of the attention he now receives and that he knows his stupid "celebration" is for some unknown reason extremely popular, even with people who don't watch football. I hope I am not the only one who's annoyed by this. Good news is we don't have to hear about everybody "tebowing" for a whole year.
I do agree that even though he may be sincere, he is certainly aware of the attention, and is pushing it just that bit more. He could always keep it to himself like a lot of other religious "followers", there really is no reason to push it like he does, and I understand how it puts people off whether they agree or not. It's kinda like ok just STFU.

You don't watch much sports ... do you ...Too bad he can't leave his religion off the field, like any other professional person doing his or her job.
Yeah sure, but I think there is something about being aware of yourself and being somewhat modest. He is not stupid, and he knows the effect he creates, and it's up to him to tone it down. Does he have to? Not really, but I would respect him more if he did. But I don't lose sleep over it, whatever...
Yay no more of this Tebow time bullshit for awhile

The guy's allowed to be religious, and it's not like he's flapping his beliefs around like some dick waving party at ProtoCents house. Most people are just jokingly using his strong religious beliefs as a reason for all the ridiculous come backs and wins. That's not something he can control.
He was crucified and died for our sins.
Despite the good things he does listed in the OP, I think it is pretty clear from this article that Tim Tebow is a seriously flawed person. From what I understand his dad and himself are part of an organization that promotes anti-gay sentiments.
