First, keep in mind that it's an industry standard that no LCD for laptops are 24 bit in color. None. Zilch. Nada. They are all 18 bit color + dithering or alternate refresh averaging. Apparently it has to do with increased wiring/circuitry whatever. Whatever the reason, this is fact.
Second, looky what I've found today on engadget:
It's a new LG's MS Portable Media Center device with an 4.3" 480x272 LCD that displays 262,000 (18 bit) colors. Hmmmm......
I really don't think Sharp makes a true 24bit color LCD at this size. None of Sharp's own portable devices uses a 24 bit LCD. I can't find a Sharp press release about 24bit LCD either, just Sony's.
I think it's just another 18bit + dithering LCD.
