I recently re-watched it after it came out and surprisingly I enjoyed more than I thought.
What the movie does really well is show Pandora as this amazingly beautiful and vibrant world. It's just a visually stunning movie to watch and while plot and characters could be better, I thought it was enjoyable still.
It actually made me anticipate the sequels.
