I love ramen but i dont have time to make it like in the restaurants, it takes too much time, so i usually use instant ramen and i add extra ingredients to make it more tasty.
Today i made instant ramen following this video

and it was fucking tasty. Yeah

I like to crack an egg in for the last minute it's still boiling, adds a lot of that protein and fat you need in your diet, also tastes pretty good. You can chop up pretty much any vegetable and put it in ramen at the same time you put the noodles in and they will come out fine. If you choose carrots you need to put them in before the water is boiling, cause otherwise they will be really crunchy instead of soft. Cabbage is often on the list of things I will put in ramen. You can take like two leaves off a cabbage, and either tear them apart or chop them up and throw them in, barely adds any calories but it adds a lot of bulk to the meal. Same with mushrooms, you can get a huge thing of mushrooms for like 4 bucks, and an entire cup is only 20+ calories, so you can make a meal where it feels like you are stuffing yourself but it's actually not that many calories. I occasionally put Imperial sesame oil in my ramen but watch out, that stuff is stupid strong and more than a tiny dab will wildly change the flavor.

I also like to put this sauce in, it's pretty spicy though and would be too much for a lot of people.

There is a lot you can do with ramen whether it's the cheaper instant stuff or the more expensive Shoyu or Neoguri ramens.

Sorry that whole video is just an advertisement for the Maggi instant noodles. It makes no sense to buy all those other ingredients, put that effort into preparing them and then purposely not get a pack of pre-prepared real noodles.

I have a Korean market near me, so they always have a big selection of Korean and Japanese instant ramen (the good stuff) I like to add in a few things, like scallions, or fried Spam, or hard boiled or poached egg.

I do not understand the people who ruin their ramen by adding slices of cheese.

Shin Ramyun master ramen race represent! I also like those Indomie ones they're like frickin crack.

Jazzing up your ramen is a key basic survival skill, if you're good at it you can subsist relatively comfortably for very little money and not want to kill yourself every mealtime. Egg is mandatory, boiled beforehand, poached in the ramen broth while cooking, or fried hard and crispy for your indoemie. Slices of protein, cooked meats, shreds of chicken you're picking off an old roast, tofu, mushrooms all great. Get at least 3 of your 5 a day by perming finely sliced or shredded vegetables, something green, something onion-oriented, sea weed in so many forms learn to love it if you want to take your ramen game to the next level. Then garnish, pickled garlic, chilli, a puddle of chilli oil or chilli sauce. Fresh chopped scallions maybe chives just before serving. Congratulations, you have ascended to ramen nirvana. Just watch your sodium levels.

JFC this is really a thing? How out of your mind do you have to be to add cheese to ramen o_O
Happens in Korea all the time. Budae jjigae is a cheap stew born of using military rations during the Korean War. American cheese, canned sausage, spam, whatever is lying around, all made its way into the dish. These days it usually has a pack of instant noodles in it too.
