puts me at $704 before the GPU and whatever you guys recommend for a CPU cooler (friend i'm putting it together with should have thermal paste).
I was looking at about an ATI 5870, should be adaquate for running current/upcoming games on high settings, no? i could swear it was mentioned in the dolphin/PCSX2 emulator threads (the other half of this rig's purpose) that intel/ATI were the way to go for this stuff.
1) i'm not seeing wifi off this board. having never put together a rig before: do i need a separate card, or do other boards tend to offer this?
2) besides things like HDMI to VGA adapter (for work), mouse & keyboard to take with it etc, any other obvious pieces missing?
3) any particular recommendations vs whats here, or any potential complications you see from the case's size vs parts listed? the review of said case that Fredescu linked prior showed that specific board, so i'm not sure what else to be concerned about.
case is pricey, but the power unit it comes with should handle everything, i'm told.
4) is there a good/standard headset or mic for gaming?
thanks GAF, looking forward to joining some of youse on Steam in the near future if this works out!
