I’m going to make a habit of liking more posts. I react to maybe 1-2 posts a month I think.

How often do you react to a post?

I didn't think I'd ever 'reacted' to any posts, so I checked my profile.

Apparently, I have 'reacted' a handful of times, but half of them seem like accidental mis-clicks.
The others, however, are fucking hilarious.

I should use this feature more often.

Why does viewing my posts in the "Reactions Received" part of my profile not actually link me to the posts themselves?
I can see which thread I posted in, but not my actual post? This should be common sense.

I was all happy about a friendly thread, but now I'm annoyed.
Why does modern software have to be so obviously bad? Why even make this feature if it doesn't actually do anything?

I try to react to every post I read and that I want to see more posts like.

The only times I'll intentionally not leave a reaction are if A) I disagree with it B) It's weird and I don't understand what the poster meant or C) it's repeating a sentiment that's already been said plenty of times in that thread

I think there are some people who don't give out any reactions, because they are competing to have the top amount of reactions - the ultimate prize.

I give out reactions quite a bit, because it's so easy and makes people feel good, I think. But I hope I'm not contributing to their dependency on approval through social media.

I also don't get the empathy one. I guess is for when you want to show empathy without giving the post a like, but some people seem to use it as a way of disliking the post.

Hmm, the part you’ve labelled as “link to OP” is the part that takes me to the post in question.

Sounds like a setting thing, like how you can set it so you always get taken to the first unread post rather than the OP when clicking on a thread.
