OP sounds like myself in some respects, apart from the arrogance that I have none of.
All the way through school I barely tried and got enough grades to get to Uni, all through uni I barely turned up and came out with a BSc.
I was decent at all sports I tried but never the best, I didnt have to put in a lot of effort to be decent though and saw other kids struggle massively and give up.
I have always said if I could focus on something and put the effort in I could be good at it, but I never can. My brain is all over the shop, I am generally decent at most things but can't be excellent at anything.
Give me a job to do and I'll go and do it, I'll put my mind to it and figure out how to get it done. After that I wont take it any further I'll just move on to the next thing.
OP has music with hundreds of thousands of plays and famous dudes wearing his clothes at least. I am just an average guy with an average life I guess.
I currently don't have a job that pushes me, I do my work and it gets done, thats about it. Hence, why I can post on forums all day if I want.
I never went to a good school though or a good Uni, my high school never even pushed for students to go to Uni they were happy if you passed a couple of exams. Most of my childhood friends left school early and ended up into drugs/dealing and robbing folk so I guess I came out of that mess OK.
