its not as bad as it used to be before the split

there was a time where you were literally better off not typing anything at all because it could potentially be interpreted as a banable offense

The team running this site seem to have fairly thick skin. I think probably the worst thing I've done is reported someone for being a political asshat, and the staff replied by asking me to please not spam them with reports. I think that's pretty cool of them, actually. And of course I don't spam them.

Maybe the closest I've gotten to a ban was over the PS5 TFLOP controversy.. I'm sure that's still sensitive to the one mod, if he's still around (I never looked too closely to figure who it is).

I didn't report them for having a different opinion. I reported them for trolling.

The cool thing about GAF is let's say you did get banned and it was simply a misunderstanding, I bet you could talk it out with the staff and air out the misunderstanding. You don't sound like the type who is cruising for a ban. I've seen grace extended for first time offenders who maybe had a bad week or something.

I've never seen them overextend here. They ban people that insult others or blatantly disobey the rules. That's it. I even feel like if you make an honest mistake here they'll cut you some slack, but talking shit, making alt accounts to bolster your opinion, the obvious shit here doesn't fly.

Yet, Bo continues to post with wreckless abandon, despite multiple bannings and constant warnings. If you're legitimately worried, and not just being a drama queen, then maybe the internet isn't your thing. If your posting is that borderline, then that's a you problem. I've gotten warnings before, and it's just a matter of dialing it back. Got banned from the Politics forum, but that was probably a blessing in disguise, because I couldn't restrain myself from clapping back at some of the human refuse that inhabited it. The OT and Gaming forums are much saner, and I never worry about crossing the line.

I would not worry too much about the necro post warning. It’s more done as just a notification to read the dates before you post in a thread. Plus the warning is not permanent. It will disappear in a couple more weeks.

I don't know about fear but Resetera is really annoying since you can't say anything. It's annoying when you make logical and respectful points and still get banned. Yet others can tell everyone to screw off if it doesn't fit with their beliefs/narrative.

Does your emotion over ride reason while discussing consoles and the corporate overlords who own them? Do you ascribe traits to other human beings because they like to play on console X/Y/Z? If so, you're probably warring. That's my understanding of it anyways. It was always a weird aberration of pop culture I never got.

Yup, they don't want actualized individuals or even the presence and opinions of the cultures of other races than those the admin and mods approve of on their forum. Theirs is a bandwagon of bigotry, and on their bandwagon the bigots are allowed to attack and ban those that put a lens to their myopia.
