Vast majority of Iggy fans aren't fans of the genre, they're the kind of people who go "I hate rap...Iggy is the only good artist" (sometimes they like to say things like being fans of the golden age, while they have another tab open looking up the most popular songs and lyrics of said songs of the 90s).
Vast majority of fans of the genre don't like Iggy because they think she's wack as fuck on all fronts.
Everyone likes comparing Iggy to Eminem and that's just dumb and not fair to Em. Outside of their skin color they're nothing alike. One is talented as fuck the other is not.
With that stated, notice how Iggy and Nicki rap about the same things, one is demonized for it the other is loved for it. Iggy talks about her ass and how she's the baddest bitch mainstream media love it. Nicki talks about her ass and how she's the baddest bitch. Mainstream wants her to be a role model for the black community.

Well, Eminem did get a lot of flak for being a white rapper early in his career. And he's built his style on the foundation of the Beastie Boys rather than trying to 'sound black'. Versus Iggy ... well ...

Eminem gets the respect from his city he was born and raised in, and he gets the respect of OGs in the game because they recognize his authenticity and genuine love for hiphop. and Unlike Drake, Eminem actually started from the bottom, now he's here.
he is not somebody who just started getting into rap to get "hot"/ become famous/ make money after a failing at trying to become famous/get money with POP music......like iggy.
