How the hell are you meant to explain to someone how to play games on that thing....... Imagine playing a fighting game and trying to tell someone how to do a combo.......... "yeah you just press forward + squigly and dots then down + lines finished off with quarter circle forward circle, squigly, lines and dots......... What ever happened to letters, simple shapes or even numbers if it's really needed. v.v

You know, I think the whole idea of symbols for gameing buttons is a stylish move (as pioneered by Sony, a la Square, Circle, Triangle, and Echs) - you can use them as a logos for branding and what not. However, they are really dump for practicality. "Press Square!" "Which ones Square?" "The square!...no not the triangle, teh one on the left!" - not to mention some game demonstrations have teh icons so small it's hard to tell.

I prefer the Nintendo way - A, B, red, green, big small. Simplicity.

The Gizmondo bemuses me. "Press Squiggly lines!, No not dots! ARrrrggghh..you're pressing Vertical trilines now!"
