I've never played a FF game before and I just bought Final Fantasy III for SNES a couple days ago on ebay. Pretty pumped to play it, it looked like a great game from some youtube videos I saw of it.

I can already imagine Heidegger in a giant robot as the final boss.
The soul of rebirth thing was a really good idea: You already know Zack dies, but that isn't the end! You must save the world behind the scenes without it being recognized by anyone. A true hero.
Sequel starring ZackCorvoSol said:Fuck that shit. When Zack dies, here's what happens: FF7 Soul of Rebirth. He gets all the way there to the top of Arruboth, decides that Minerva is FULL of it, and murders her so hard and so fast that even Firion would blush.
Crisis Core... ;___;
The Price of Freedom was great. The direction of that entire portion was really good, right down to the usage of the DMW.
Hmm... You know, because I finished a report early, I could probably beat the Land of Summons bosses and write up an FF4 update this weekend. We're between dungeons I dislike and I'm doing two dungeons that I like right now so the update could be kinda fun... sorta.
Sequel starring Zackand some lifestream dudes. Nope, Zack is a one-man wrecking crew.
Model reusage... or something more?!
That first model is really creepy, btw. Heck, if I keep looking at them long enough, I start finding something that isn't likeable about the models. But there's something weird about the first model and I can't put my finger on what it is that I don't like about it.
Aren't those the two Deepground commanders from Dirge of Cerberus? You know whos. I don't think this is a mystery XD

Bro you're mistaken. The compilation ends at Advent Children. Genesis' carcass was dragged back to Shin-Ra HQ and subsequently used in Hojo's breeding experiments until Diamond Weapon destroyed the entire building.
That's totally how it happened.

And manly tears were shed ; ;

I think that's one of things holding me back from playing CC. Just knowing what eventually happens to Zack...
Feels bad, man.![]()
Thats a depressing thought yet good analogy! Now I wanna see the games "real" game over screen. *boots game back up*Ugh, this game really ends in a Game Over.
For sures! He defends lotsa people and saved Cloud and was prolly a role model to some. Not many people will remember him but he still earned the hero title!I would say you've become a hero, Zack.![]()
Land of Summons? Do you fight summons in that game to??Hmm... You know, because I finished a report early, I could probably beat the Land of Summons bosses and write up an FF4 update this weekend.
CorvoSol: whisper whisper (Hey! Cloud's not lying.)I'm pretty sure Cloud isn't lying at this point. He honestly doesn't remember all that stuff until AFTER the fact, as at that point in time he was under the impression that he WAS Zack. In other words, Cloud legitimately does not remember those things because he's in severe need of therapy at that moment.
Tifa, on the other hand, is just straight up lying.
Thats gotta be as awesome as it sounds. But the most valuable asset is an airship since the begining of the game!
Hey CC did something like that to!We can see in the second screenshot the engine room. It contains four chests and that brings me to tell that chests have new content in each chapter (except in the fourth).
Secrets like that are crafty yet evil. You can do an apparently useless thing in this place: Rest. Why would you do that? It activates an extra scene in the fifth chapter if you rest in every chapter.
In honor of Final Fantasy's 25th anniversary, GAF Plays: Final Fantasy games
Yep, just a few, though. They're optional.Land of Summons? Do you fight summons in that game to??
Nevermind. Pardon me as I feel all over the place. Oh man oh man. I just, gosh darn it, the Zack parts of this game are so good that you completely forgive the Genesis parts. My feels are everywhere, guys. EVERYWHERE.
Why do you keep doing this to me, Tabata? WHY!?!?!
Zack Fair, Soldier 1st Class:
Lvl:81, 67839HP/300MP/246AP, ATK 255, MAG255, SPR 146, VIT65, LUK14.
Genji All, Curaga HP+999%, Costly Punch ATK+100, Death Twister ATK +100, Ultima MAG+95, Exaflare MAG+100, SP Master SPR +81.
100% Mission completion.
I've never seen this movie before!
You know, I think my game of FFIII/VI (snes) has glitched, can anyone tell me if this is the case? According to the walkthroughs, in the World of Ruin I should be able to go to Owzners House in Jidoor and pick up one of my party members (I think Strago). But when I go to the house the lights are on and none of the paintings are attacking me, so I don't know how to get into the dungeony area under the house.
Any ideas?

Did you rescue Shadow? If that's the case then you have to go to the Veldt cave and rescue Relm so Owzer's house becomes haunted.
Tried turning off the lights?

Oh yeah, that too, you have to do the Shadow/Relm rescue subquest, then go to Thamasa, THEN go to Thamasa again to see that they're not there. Then head back to Jidoor.
I'm pretty sure the triggers for losing is your HP falling down to the Yellow then Red warning levels. Copter missiles are supposed to do massive damage but if you're out healing even those strikes or managed to kill the copters then uhh... good luck x_x?
Oh there ya go! Amazing stats & gear! Congrats on clearing all the missions without succumbing to boredom/tears/madness! What was the secret boss battle like? Any dialogue/story behind it or just start mission-fight monster like so many others?
Odd note: You know how everybody says that in FF7 Cloud is actually shy and the cockiness is Zack's persona? I have to disagree. According to Tifa in the first half hour of the game, Cloud was always a pretty cocky guy. I'd guess that failing to make SOLDIER was the only reason he was so shy around Zack and stuff in Crisis Core.
It made me wish the game would've kept going from there >.<It's probably the perfect way to end the game.
Ack! Is nothing in later FF games unique? Monsters, common minor character names, fighting summons, magic...Yep, just a few, though. They're optional.
Dunno if I'm gonna go out of my way to get the summon drops, though. Sorta don't wanna; might resort to Game Genie if I do. I found a funny code and I'm itching to test it out and see if it truly works.
Reused jumping mechanics... FF series really is just a lesser DQ!New mechanic, jump: Press O and Yuna will jump in some scripted places.
Reminds me of your rivals in .hack//G.U. Bordeaux (female leader with long jagged blade), Negimaru (skinny guy with dual weapons) and Grein (big silent guy).
You can make dungeons? You better get accustomed to this generic type of dungeons. With a few wall assets you get the ability to create some extra dungeons!
Still only saw the first 20 minutes so far so not to late but the copy I borrowed is the 2 disc special edition dvd. The back of the case doesn't mention anything about added scenes so I guess its the vanilla version? Can't do nothing about that!I hope it's not too late, but you should really see the Complete version. It's an extended cut, the story will make more sense and it has one damn cool action scene (my favorite of the movie) that was somehow cut from the 'normal' version. It also has more ties to Crisis Core.
Is that as hard as it sounds?- You must land on a city/town space when the in-game calender hits Cancer 1
On that note its obvious and all your levels and stuff are set back to 1 at the beginning of X-2 but is there any bonus to having/loading a finished X game save on your memory card when starting the sequel? Like a special cutscene or bonus item or some extra money to kick off the game with?Well, not every monster is the same. It seems the designers weren't afraid to put big enemies since the begining, but at this point they can't be too much powerful.
Sheesh you're talking about stuff I never even heard of! Master SP who what? Blah! I don't need ta know anyways since I'm SO done. That boss battle sounds lame and since there's no dialogue accompanying it I decree that this alleged goddess is nothing more than a wet dream Genesis briefly had when Zack knocked him the heck out!See, here's the way it went: Mission starts, battle starts, boom. It's just a straight up boss-fight against the woman from the ending, except now she has a helmet on. The weird "literally nothing does above 0 damage to me" was in effect here, too, and the only way I was getting hurt was in SP, which thanks to some luck and the Lucky Stars materia, I never ran out of.
I think maybe SP Master converts all damage from HP to SP.

Cloud was shy as a little kid that's why he excluded himself from Tifa and her friends group. But! He was also cocky in that he thought they all acted like kids... even though he and they were kids! Failing to save Tifa from that fall just gave him anger issues on top of that stuff. The military prolly knocked the cocky/anger right outta him so we're left with just shy Cloud again up until the start of FFVII. Being a total headcase is just his thing! He's also a master of deception but that's not played up nearly as much.He was a different sort of cocky back then--he wasn't even 14 yet and wanted to impress Tifa by being the BEST SOLDIER IN THE WORLD. He also was pretty brave as a kid, helping Tifa when she fell...and then getting blamed for it.
I think we all had that "cockiness" as kids.
In fact that's completely right that his shame at failing to make SOLDIER and becoming a lowly stormtrooper caused his withdrawal.
btw what's the name of the other two dudes in Kadaj's group, I didn't catch their names. Fist Guy and GunSword Guy? No that can't be right! I should prolly know these for future reference an all.
