Indie Bundle Thread - There's another one?

Another Greenlight Bundle has gone up. Three games for at least $1, eight games and Awesomenauts DLC for at least $5.

Not sure about this one since most of the games are multiplayer. I wouldn't expect indie games to have much of a community to support them. Edit: Wait, no, most of them are not multiplayer. A few are though. Impressions on any of these games would be nice, if anyone jumps on them.

indie gala is talking about their 10th bundle
will be something memorable folks... 9 Steam games plus Other goodies, including another Greenlight gem from our collection !

hopefully it's at least on par with their last bundle

How often do their bundles usually come out? I've only really been following these indie bundles in the last month or so, so I've only seen IX.

indie gala is a pretty fast turn around one, I wouldn't be surprised that even though 9 just ended a day or two ago if 10 was up before Oct 20th ends.

I hope they get rid of that stupid "seconds left" clock. I hate having to get out my calculator.

I got the bundle and have given some of the single player games a go. Pixel Blocked is pretty great, it's a simple but mega polished puzzler. I had a bit of issue with the controller since it doesn't update the prompts with controller buttons and it can take a mo to get used to the menus at first. But once you do it's fine. But yeah, gameplay is enjoyable and I would recommend just dropping $1 for that alone even if the rest of the bundle doesn't interest you.

Oniken is a game I've played before, but it is still very enjoyable. AS a kid I went straight from owning a NES to a PS1 so I missed out on some of the SNES/Genesis era action platformers but this feels like a bit of a throwback to those styles of games. It's cool, I would recommend it.

Also gave Wasted Lands a go which I really wanted to like since FFT guest starring Cthulhu sounded amazing, but the port job seems a little rushed and janky. I only gave the tutorial and first mission a go so perhaps you get used to it, but the ingame menus just feel unresponsive and don't really convey a lot of information. I'll dive into it a bit further, but it is hard to enjoy it.

Come on, there are so many games that you don't need to not force yourself.

Thanks for the feedback!

True true, but strategy RPGs are my DJ and Cthulhu is my MC so I can't resist giving that game at least a little longer to see if it grabs me. The concept alone sounds amazing on paper.

I gave Starlaxis a go, it's like a match 2 or sometime 3 puzzle game where different matches give commands to this little ship down the bottom of the screen. It seems well put together, but I'm not a fan of stuff that force you to focus on 2 things at the same time so I'm not really feeling it.

Starlaxis from the Greenlight Bundle, is actually really awesome. I only did the dollar version since all the other games were not my style.

this reminds me i still have one gift from the Game Music Bundle

Brainpipe is up @ https://indiegamestand.com/

Have this permanently installed. Big fan. Even wrote a little review for it on Steam.

A wondrous little Indie title that will test your strabismic acuity. Brainpipe is a traversal of a coaster like psychedelic pipe complete with immersive award winning audio and great visuals. -w 1920 -h 1080 -fullscreen

Wow, best Indie Royale in a while. Picked up for Blackwell alone since I already own To the Moon, but Reprisal looks really interesting. Like a mashup of From Dust and Civilization.

Now I'm annoyed that I missed the bundle with the previous Blackwell Trilogy and don't have all of them. :/

I was totally surprised when I redeemed a "blackwell" game and I went like: Wait, but I don't have all of them already?

Turns out I didn't, but do now! :D

Same here, even if I took the bundle mainly for To the Moon which was on my wishlist. But it's also nice to have the whole Blackwell series, I started the first chapter some time ago, never got very far but I'm planning to do so... uhm, sometime.

It is the best Royale since quite some time.

And at the same time, the ebook bundle got webcomics:

Anyone know if there's a way to make To the Moon launch in windowed mode? Alt+enter works to play in a window, but it always starts in full-screen.

So surprise surprise india gala is teasing indie gala 10

Would you like to play as a Roman General ? Or would you prefer, instead, to wipe out an entire city?
I know what you want... feelin' like Clint Eastwood in a Sergio Leone's movie... ;-)
Greenlight Collection updated! Remember: One of this games in the next IG10 together with other 9 Great Steam games!

I would assume that the game from the greenlight collection would be a game that is currently released and isn't already greenlit, which cuts the list in about half.

If those are just compilations of existing material as they seem to be, what's the point? At least if you bought a physical version there would be a difference between reading it and just going through the webcomic's archives.

That is unfortunately a relevant point.

GOG has another bundle, Interplay collection:

Quick Summary:
1. How Much? Pay as little as $0.01--get 8 Interplay Games.
Pay more than average--get 20 Interplay Games.
Pay $34.99 or more--get 32 Interplay Games +
20 amazing soundtracks, and tons of goodies.
2. Own some of the games? Don't worry--you'll get a giftable code.
3. Want to pay more? Sure you can :)

For any price you feel is fair, you will receive 8 games, including greats such as Conquest of the New World, Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business, or M.A.X. + M.A.X. 2. Paying more than the average community purchase will net a total of 20 games, with fantastic titles such as Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Freespace + Expansion, or Descent 3 and its expansion included. Finally, the top supporters who pay $34.99 or more, receive the whole Interplay catalog available on GOG.com--worth more than $190--including the three Fallout games, MDK and MDK 2, Sacrifice, Descent 1+2, Freespace 2, and more.

The jokes are not funny. I get most of the jokes and they're either so pedantic or obnoxious the punchline sails into the earth and shooting into the sun.

1. That's the joke.
2. Humour is subjective.
3. No need to go out of your way to be a dick to fans of something you don't like.

So weird... who would want to support the current Interplay?

It's pretty obvious that this is a desperate last cash grab since Interplay is gonna lose the classic Fallout license (and maybe others?) soon.

On the other hand this means that this sale could be the last good opportunity to grab those games since they might disappear from GOG and DD in general if Interplay disintegrates completely and the rights get trapped in legal limbo for who knows how long.

The question is whether or not Bethesda wants to re-license for GOG... which they probably will but it may end up like a Doom XBLA scenario where they take their sweet time. Honestly it is silly that Bethesda's older stuff isn't on GOG to begin with (iD's classic games, older elder scrolls, etc).

Brian Fargo apparently.

I think he's doing it in honor of what Interplay WAS.

I hope it gets Bethesda on GOG, but failing that I hope they at least keep it on Steam or if they're going to do a full withdrawal they'll just give the games for free like they did Elder Scrolls 1 & 2. Won't let me buy them, may as well let me freely take them.

Could it be that Bethesda is boycotting GOG out of protest over the Fallout situation? GOG launched with Fallout and Interplay after all, maybe that makes them 'accomplices' in Bethesda's eyes.

I doubt it's political. It's probably just disinterest.
Only the Elder Scrolls and id games are worthy of their old catalog (of games they didn't license anyway), and they only acquired id, what, two years ago? A few years after GOG launched I believe. Honestly only recently has selling on there been relevant to them. Meanwhile the two biggest Elder Scrolls are free, so while they could easily go up as free games on GOG I can see Bethesda not considering it very important.

Although, Arx Fatalis IS up there, but that's listed with Arkane Studios as publisher.

A just posted job description suggests that a Humble Bundle in November will be an android bundle (and considering apportable turns ios games in to android games, maybe it will be a bundle of ios games ported to android). Clicky to job description

I can only think of one ios game that is also on steam and not on android: Hero Academy.
