I think batsnacks is exaggerating some of his evidence: Dusk's "who are you targeting?" fishing attempt seems like normal tree-shaking behavior, not scum earnestly looking for a doctor. But encouraging a No Lynch is blatantly anti-Town behavior. Could just be bad play rather than scum play (in fact, it's definitely bad play), but it's by far the scummiest thing we've seen.

The one where he suggests not voting/voting no lynch.

I had to reread Dusk's post to find out why people are suddenly talking about a no lynch. I don't think Dusk pushed a no lynch because I don't think there's any scenario where his post leads to a no lynch - even if everyone for some reason decided to listen to him (ignoring the possibility of a tie as that's not what people are talking about).

Not necessarily a strong town read but not scum for me, and I don't want us to lynch him.

This is the post of CCS that he included in his read. All CCS is saying here is that he doesn't think it's a good idea to try to deduce the PRs in play based on meta-knowledge of InFamous. This is Cabot's original point mind you, but for some reason it looks suspicious when CCS says it.

The difference is that Cabot had made lots of posts that aren't fluff/mechanic speculation, CCS hadn't.

Not really no. They're confirmed town but they don't have much to go off early in the game, so they (like the rest of us) are basically shooting in the dark. If the confirmed townies stoll agree with each by D3 then that'll be more notable.

This is another reason splinter is mafia sometimes. His read on AB, when I think AB has posted sincere thoughts, can be a case of mafia framing bad play as scummy play.

I'm finding myself agreeing with *splinter on Absolutbro. Day 1 really isn't the spot for logistics and arguing on how to play the game, it's for jokes, meta, gifs, and inevitable vote railroads at the end of the day. He could be scum.

Timeaisis wants to know where I am but he comes and posts a bunch of 1 sentence posts. Are you just trying to reach the post minimum? On one side it looks sketchy, on another it could be mobile posting.

2) CCS can be town. There are reasons to think CCS is scum and reasons to think AB is scum, it's unlikely that both are indeed scum but that doesn't make either of them bad choices for a lynch.

If he was transparent in his defense (something like "I don't think CCS is scum because ___") then I'd agree with you. My issue is he was defending CCS by pretending to complain about meta, and as you said there was no meta abuse to be complaining about.

Does AB think CCS is town? He defends him, but refused to give a read even when questioned directly.
