Just caught up this morning.

Give me something genuine that takes the sourness out of my stomach that your earlier post out there.
Convince me I'm off base here bud. How do you feel about splinter x Cabot? Bats x kawl? Kyan x ccs?
You know, I can understand some of the suspicion, since I have been a little lazy about being active in the game this time around. I've been distracted by too much FFXIV and mobile games. Sorry about that.
As far as as the main topics that emerged overnight, here is my definitive answer:

I don't trust neutrals.
There is a tiny chance I could have been convinced to put my faith in a self-professed neutral player if they were deeply moved to work in towns interests. But that isn't how CCS has been playing so far at all. CCS is playing only for CCS. He has been utterly disinterested in the outcome of votes and has instead been acting purely out of self-preservation (and thus in pursuit of his own victory). Everything from his initial threat to role claim to this current gambit at using his powers to test Kyan have been done purely for the sake of self-preservation. My read is that he would betray town without a moment's hesitation, no question.
As far as cabot x splinter goes, I obviously am on the same side as cabot as far as CCS's fate is concerned. Now, that doesn't mean I fully read cabot as town. Scum cabot and town cabot both play very similarly, and I am somewhat dubious of cabot's commuter claim. From past experience, I am wary of putting my full trust in cabot just because I agree with his arguments most of the time. I also don't know how to read splinter. I don't think his arguments are in the best interest of town, though. I am also clearly missing an in-joke between the two or something.
For now, I think both batsnacks and Kawl are cleared town. I think paranoia about a godfather whenever someone is cleared by a cop is an unnecessary distraction. We need to be aware of the possibility, but it is so unlikely that it isn't worth stressing over.
