Yea at first it was like wtf, this is stupid on hard mode. Then after a few deaths and you figure out how to do it, it becomes easy but it takes forever. Maybe i didnt throw enough at him, the battle went on way too long imo.

I thought he would be hard at first when I saw how much health he had, but I actually beat him on my first try. Just and attack constantly and recharge when needed. He really doesn't do anything that isn't easily dodged. I just did standard lightning attacks and then when there was an opening chucked grenades and more standard lightning. Don't know if another strategy might work much better.

It's really quite simple.

When he starts his run towards jump away when he appears or else he'll hit you ith the shockwave attack and send you flying. If you dodged this or didn't, you still have to contend with the eartquake attack, simply jump INTO the attack and hold R1 to float over it into the center. You can get a couple shots in if you're quick enough.

Now when he starts doing the lighting attack simply roll left/right/left/right as he does it and then spam megawatt hammer, drain some of the elctrical lines and get ready to repeat again.

I lost to him the first couple times on hard mode but once you get the pattern down he'll rarely ever hit you if you simply dodge over the earthquck/shockwave and the lightning.

Good luck!

Beat it tonight. Loved the ending. Actually kind of took me by surprise.

Spent about 30 minutes trying to get that stupid 'Have a Nice Fall' stunt with no luck. Three doods go flying and I scream. Found this video on youtube. Thought it might help. Just made things worse cause I still couldn't get it.:lol

Just went to GAME(UK) to buy a control pad powerlink cable, inFamous is 21st in the charts while Prototype is 1st. This is the effect of the strong advertisement campaign of Protytpe while inFamous is measily marketed by SCEE.

Just wait where protoytype is in four weeks from now...and is it first on ps3 or 360?

What's going on here? ^^

So I just finished and cleared all the zones.

Can I still make all the moves? The damn "kill a guy with melee while he is on the air" is horrible :/

Yeah I finally unlocked that stunt myself, it drove me insane.

Yeah you can still do them, some will be really hard though, the flying melee is easy just do it when an enemy is near the edge of a building.

ARGGG. I'm stuck on the same thing. I've done the exact steps on the vid 10x and still haven't gotten it. One time I swear I actually did throw them all off but they didn't give it to me. :/ I wonder if it helps being good as opposed to evil (I'm evil).

I cannot get that stunt where you have to launch back an enemies grenade at the enemy and kill him with it stunt. It's fucking impossible....

damn i can't have more fun with infamous now :\
what did you expect? sony sucks at marketing games

I'm having trouble with the stunt where you have to shockwave 3 enemies off a roof simultaneously. I'm having trouble finding 3 enemies on a roof at the same time. :(

Too late, I've finished nearly all the side missions.

There is some unclaimed territory in the Historic District though and I don't have any missions showing up over there. How do I claim that territory? Is "End Of The Road" the last story mission?

So I need to do air sticky bomb now... I'm infamous and I've read that it's going to be harder? What's the general strategy on this?

I asked about this a couple of pages back and there were some good tips provided. Like the other poster said, you'll need a wall to throw them against (although I'm still working on it).

So I got through a couple of my stunts and now I have to do Whack-A-Mole, where I have to take down a Conduit with a Thunder Drop. Problem is, I've cleared all the side missions and now I'm having problems finding a conduit. What's the best place to spawn one of those big conduits in the Historic District?

The melee combat is the exact same from the demo to the final game. That said you shouldn't be performing fisticuffs on people when you can shoot lighting from your hands.

Also... The final boss lightning attack can be blocked by the polarity wall.

You don't have to dodge it and it preps you to fire a volley of megawatt hammers after he gets tired.

Got my Platinum today. Luckily most of the last few shards I was missing were in those pier locations and I found them without combing through the entire Neon district.

I remember reading how Sucker Punch were watching the platinums add up a week after launch or so. It would be awesome to know how many people get a platinum, but has any dev ever revealed that info? Can they?

Yeah he was ridiculously hard for me too...

UNTIL i realized... i have to ROLLL!!!

i almost NEVER rolled in the game.. but Rolling in the boss fight is like the only garunteed way to dodge EVERY single attack he throws (except earthquake)

Soooo Just try dodging.. it WORKS

For the earthquake, just jump and glide when it's about to hit you. You can avoide it AND shoot at Kessler (and those shadow monsters) while you're in the air.

You're kidding me?! :lol That makes the battle 10x easier! I never use the polarity wall...

PS. I'm able to dodge the lightning strikes without rolling, but it's the aiming afterwards that is quite hard.

Right.
Because you say so?

Why include it at all in the game then?
You can't always go in aim mode when you've got 3 guys around and close to you, some kickasspunching work better in those cases... but the melee combat just plain sucks.

Is there a way to lock-on on enemies (say similar to Crackdown)? I couldn't find it.

That would ease it a lot in my opinion.

One question: Does the melee combat engine sucks as hard in the final build as it does in the demo? :-/
The melee combat engine is great. The problem with melee in the demo is that you're upgraded way beyond what you would normally be for those enemies (Reapers). The entry level melee works much better against them, in the same way that the upgraded melee works much better against the later enemies...

In the demo there's no flow because the first blow from your combo pretty much knocks them flat. Melee is much better when you have to land multiple blows from the combo to knock the enemy down.

Oh, noice :)

Thanks AA and Endless, I think I'll try to have a go with the full game before pickin' it up then, maybe I'll rent it first even if I hate renting a game I'll later buy and pay full price..

Finished it as a Hero tonite....awesome ending.....330/350 shards!

Theres one shard over in the historic district that is on that tall smoke stack.....i do the jump from the high building next to it and i always JUST miss grabbing it. Is that really where i need to jump from?

I've got 280 shards from the first two islands. If I'm not mistaken there's supposed to be 283 total in those two islnads, correct? Are there any shards that don't show up on the HUD if you're searching from the ground? I'm sure I've gotten everything in the Warren (including the jail and the warehouse) so I'm thinking there are 2 in the Neon district that are up high that won't show up when searching from the ground.

So I've been working through my Evil/trophy playthrough - and I have no idea what clicked but I've knocked out like 5 stunts tonight. And they were all the ones I was worried about. Its was kind of funny since it was like one right after the other.

I had read the few comments on here about waiting to do the 'Right Back At Ya' stunt till you are doing the Alden strikes story mission and they could not have been more right. It took a few minutes of back and forth but, eventually they died from the gernade explosion and I got the stunt unlock. From there it just seemed like I was in the zone - got 'Splash and Crash', 'Air Sticky Bomb', 'Flying Head Shot', 'Blast & Bolt' and 'Flying Melee' within like 20 minutes of that mission. All I have left is the last stunt, which requires the thunder storm ability.

I have to say - this is the first PS3 game I've actually worked towards getting the trophies. Its partly because they seem reasonable and because the game is just so damn fun to just tool around with. Really I can't wait to see what Sucker Punch does next, because this game has put them on my radar big time.
