No, I'm not serious at all. Just sort of a jab at the way some people have portrayed the graphics.bluemax said:You're not serious are you?
Do people really get worked up that much over graphics? I only noticed the lack of aliasing once, when I was standing around and realized how jaggy a particular shadow was.
This game has a decent number of short comings but for some reason the core elements are so much fun that I am able to look past them.
lol come on, I didn't think a sarcasm meter would be needed for that. 'Even if you can't see the jaggies, they are there'? I think the game looks great; I barley notice any of the problems people speak of.neojubei said:So sad. so sad.

Don't worry about it. If the code is sharable there will be people sharing it.iamcool388 said:Yup, I didnt get the beta code either. Dont have qore either, so i'm royally fucked. :lol
Well, I didn't try to name anyone because I wasn't trying to take a personal shot. I think there are some reviewers (and a few people) who just arent admitting to being hyper sensitive to the graphics, and have just panned that aspect of the game. I really just thought there were some over reactions, didn't want to point any fingers.AltogetherAndrews said:I don't think that's a fair "jab," though. Some of us are really that sensitive to that particular issue, and to me, the game cooks up the perfect storm of clutter, with aliasing issues crowning a really quite detailed environment. I'd in all seriousness be willing to pay another $60 (or more) for a patch that improved edges in the game.

So was GTA4(on consoles anyway), and for the most part overlooked it.dallow_bg said:Game doesn't look bad at all, but I'm not gonna lie and say it isn't really jaggy.
And NO SCREEN TEARING (tm) which I think is huge. That's the issue I notice the most. To be fair, reviewer talk about the things they notice the most, and often that's the problems they notice.AltogetherAndrews said:Well, for the record, I think that flatly panning the visuals is completely unfair, as it does quite a few things very well. The lighting is top notch, which is awesome since, hey, it's a game about blowing shit up with lightning. The textures are generally pretty damned good for the genre (even if I think that it meshes poorly with the aliasing). And Cole looks and moves fuck awesome.

I have to admit that the very nice DTS 5.1 and sound effects that accompany the Sucker Punch logo at the opening of the game made me utter an audible "Hell yes!". Touch the lightning!pubba said:This is the game that will push me over the edge into PS3 ownerdom.
LOVE this developer and the vids look like all kinds of awesome![]()
DenogginizerOS said:So, I preordered this from Amazon a while ago. It shipped on Friday. However, unlike some on cheapassgamer, I have not received a separate email that confirms I am getting the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta voucher. From the sounds of it, not all copies of this game have it. What the hell?
I will never buy games from Amazon.com again if I don't get that voucher.Click said:I got that e-mail...

Yup. Sound is too often overlooked this generation. inFamous is not Metal Gear Soild 4, but it is pretty damn good (in the demo no less)GQman2121 said:To step away from the visuals for a second; the sound design is phenomenal. The DTS track is really rocking my sub and I'm only a few hour in. It more than makes up for the occasional pop-up and low res textures on some of the surfaces.
For NPD? Amazon is at least.pseudocaesar said:Regarding online purchases and whatnot, I was wondering, are those sales tracked the same as retail stores?
are you sure?....DuckRacer said:For NPD? Amazon is at least.
bluemax said:Difficulty wise I would say this game is really frustrating at times. It borrows the annoying design decision from Crackdown of having enemies all over who shoot at you from way out of your line of sight. On hard mode it is not uncommon to be walking around and get waxed by guys you can't even see. In all honesty in most fights I don't actually feel like a super powered bad ass, I feel like a normal dude being swarmed by enemies and doing my best to barely survive. I've upgraded all my powers beyond their initial level but I still feel like each encounter is frenetic and at times extremely frustrating (could be that it was late and I was tired, I dunno). Sometimes the game makes me feel like maybe I should be playing it like Gears and going from cover element to cover element slowly picking dudes off which isn't quite what I want out of this game.
I'm almost positive, they started tracking amazon about a year or so ago. I'm no sales age expert, though.Andronicus said:are you sure?....
I didn't get this email...The beta was honestly a huge reason why I decided to buy inFamous...I better get a voucher in mine...Click said:I got that e-mail...

As long as your copy is marked with the sticker, it will include the beta code.
Sweet man. I knew there would be some little bug like this to keep playing.RoboPlato said:If anyone wants to find a way to extend exploration time in the demo kill the women that give you missions and kill yourself when the timer comes up. You'll always wake up on a cot and the timer will be reset. You need to kill the person that gives you the mission again when you wake up if you want to repeat this.

You're buying a game mainly because it contains the beta for the multiplayer component of the sequel to a game that had terrible shooting mechanics?
I think Infamous really deserves more than that.
MvmntInGrn said:Because you're sure they feel the same way right? :lol
ElyrionX said:Well, the first game certainly didn't give me any confidence that it would be any better!
At least the people who bought Crackdown for the Halo 3 multiplayer beta had perfectly valid reasons to expect that to be good.
Jtrizzy said:I guess you don't like the shooting mechanics in this game either do you?

ElyrionX said:In Infamous? It's no Call of Duty or even Gears of War but they work well enough in the context of the game.
I know it certainly wouldn't work well in a multiplayer context. Just look at Crackdown and GTAIV's multiplayer modes and how long people actually played those.
Not by me. It and Mirror's Edge are other bad offenders.Fafalada said:So was GTA4(on consoles anyway), and for the most part overlooked it.
I don't even remember any sparks or explosions in AC.AltogetherAndrews said:Also worth noting is that the lightning, sparks and explosions own the living shit out of the lightning, sparks and explosions in Assassin's Creed.
