So I got the game. The first thing I did was immediately hate Zeke and shoot him in the middle of his stupid face. Never before have I felt such intense hatred for a character, and instantly. He simply must have been written with the intent of making you megaloath him. Which would lead me to believe that at some point you'll be given the opportunity to finally kill him. Please tell me he dies at some point during the story? I'd be so pissed if he doesn't.
more annoying is the fucking dude on TV. KEEP TALKING SHIT ASSHOLE, IM GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU.

also, there are 145 shards on the first island, right? i'm missing one, think it's the one near the dock where someone posted a pic of a few pages back. off to get it!

:lol

I feel the same way, i am playing as a hero right now but I will make an exception for that guy, I am going to kill him in the worst way possible.

Just WHAT do you have to do to get "Good" on side missions? I've only got one, and I need 5 for a new power.Does killing a Reaper count against it? I'm trying very hard just to wound them and make sure no citizens get harmed, but it's tough.

Anyone else notice that this game has the same kind of "bird-head" animations (Heads turning very quickly) during cutscenes that sly cooper had.

BTW, where are my gigablades? I downloaded and installed them, but they haven't shown up yet.

The ending was awesome. Although I kinda figured it out when the fight started. They set it up nicely for a sequel. I hope they don't pull a heavenly sword on us :(

Good missions are specific "Good" missions. You get to choose between a good mission and a bad mission, if you choose one the other gets locked. So do all the good missions if you want that power. It has nothing to do with your karma in each mission.

Thanks for that.

i'm hearing a lot of people say that they're playing good and that they're watching so very carefully about doing certain attacks near pedestrians. i'm at champion right now, and while I was like that at first, now it seems like I can hurt/kill pedestrians and i don't get penalized for it. i mean, i'm sure i've killed a few here and there, but no evil prompts come up on the screen.

If killed a bunch, gotten evil karma at the end of some missions and I am a Hero to the max. Don't worry about it. Just dont go out of your way to kill people.

It never did for me either, but I still got deranked after pulling off some flashy moves. Maybe because no enemies were around.

Be sure to check the piers around the islands, this was the one I missed:
photo-1.jpg

Sad part is that it's on the first island, probably one of the first ones I should've gotten. :lol
can anyone be more specific as to where this location is on the first island? i circled the island pressing L3 and nothing came up (last shard I need on the island)

edit: damn, looking at the radar it's pretty far off coast. no wonder i didn't pick it up! probably gotta circle it again.

That hot air balloon mission had me screaming at the TV, really the first time I had a problem with the game. Getting slapped around so bad I put it on easy and it was still kicking my ass.

It's on the eastern coast.

So. damn. true. He is sooo annoying :lol

Argh, fucking stunts. These two are really causing me problems:

Right Back At Ya - Use the Shockwave move to make enemy kill themselves with a grenade or rocket.
Air Sticky Bomb - Kill an airborne enemy by sticking a grenade to them.

FFFUUUUU-

Whenever I shockwave a grenade back they just run away, and I've deflected rockets back countless times and it's never registered. ARGH!! Air Sticky Bomb too, grr. It seems simple but I can't hit them! I shockwave a dude off a building them spam grenades into his path but they never stick! ARGH!!

On the flipside, just nailed this one:

Suspended Sentence - Kill an airborne enemy with the Thunderstorm move.

Pretty proud of that! 8D

Him and that annoying news reporter lady! Stupid bitch feeding the public whatever the government tells her.

Did anybody else fall through the ground when doing the mission to fix the bridge?

Oh, and I'm very happy that when you become popular, the public start chucking rocks at the badguys.

Woah... the ending... that was pretty effing cool.

I need to go back and watch that cutscene again though... I'm don't think I entirely understand what just happened.:lol

Absolutely kickass game though. I hadn't given much thought into even buying it a week ago... the Uncharted 2 beta code convinced me to buy it, but man am I glad I did. So much fun.:D

Basically, in the future, there is someone who is too powerful even for Kessler to handle, so he flees with Trish and leaves everyone else to fend for themselves against the mysterious villain. This mysterious villain hunts Kessler for a while, and finally finds him and kills his family. So Kessler uses a special, but dangerous power that he had gained to go back in time, and takes over the First Sons to speed up production of the Ray Sphere so that Cole would get his powers earlier, thus having more time to strengthen his powers to defeat the threat in the future. Kessler also had Trish killed so that Cole wouldn't be held back by emotion.

I had to watch the final cutscene twice too :P

Is the Righteous Strike worth it?

Costs 12,000 XP and I'm currently saving up for it...supposedly heals you with each hit?

It heals you with each headshot. Any hit gives you some energy back, though.
For me, it was worth it, because I'd like to spam the more powerful moves that take up energy, so it was easy for me to get it back. Just zap some enemies :D

Karmic Overload: Biggest waste of XP points ever.
I suppose, although having unlimited rockets, grenades, etc. is very useful against the larger conduits later in the game (and the hordes of enemies at their feet).

Just finished the game on good and man what an awesome ending. Best video game ending I've ever witnessed :D

I did all those stunts easily.
around what point did you unlock all the stunt? im so paranoid and fear not being able to get them since after a mission, there are less enemies.

Okay, got all the dead drops. Missing like 40 shards.

Cleared 83/84 districts but there's nothing on the map for another side mission. I've got the northern tip of the Warren still left open and I can't find a trace of another mission on the entire goddamn island. Any help? I'm starting think I got glitched out of it.

I'm nearing the end of the game I believe, and I want to know after you beat it can you go back to it and complete all the side missions and such?

I'm assuming yes but I want to make sure.

did you beat kessler yet? if not. do so. then goto the area where its still enemy territory and kill a guy for the last hidden object mission!

I got stunts 1-10 on the first island.
I did the stunts all the way to blast the grenade back on the second island. The shipping yard is best for blasting grenade back.
The one after that is kill 5 with grenade that's easily done in the prison mission, you'll know when you see it. It's on the third island.
The second last one where you have to stomp a conduit to death I did it to a
Glowing
conduit by weakening it then climb up a building to stomp on it and repeat until it's death by stomping.
The last one is obvious.

I'm not 100% sure but the first part but the ones I've described I am 100% sure.
Save the dark water missions for blasting 3 guys off the roof.

I haven't done it yet but from what I heard from giant bomb, yes, you can go back to the world after finishing it

BUT if you clear out all the zones of enemies beforehand, they won't come back after the ending so the world will be a) more boring and b) you can't get more combat trophies.

Broadbandito said:

Yeah, I've beaten the game. Wait, maybe because I'm capturing the bad guys in that area and not killing them...? I spam the hell out of the powered up grenade. Let me try that...

there are still enemies, but not that many.

So I'm not the only one who thinks Pharell needs to STFU. At first you're like "oh, this guy is looking out for his community." Then Zeke let's you know the deal, next thing you know this dirty hipster is talking shit.

yea i killed the guys on the lower level since there are like 6 of them

Tomorrow or later I begin my Evil mission and I'm going take the game slowly to absorb all that TV footage including that fag "Voice of Survival".

That's a win for the designers :D

On a more serious note, you don't have to do the stunts in order do you? I mean it tells you the 'next' stunt on the pause screen, but you can complete them in any order and they still count towards the total right?

Doesn't seem like it. I did the blow the 3 guys off the roof stunt way before I realized that the bottom of the title screen tells me what to do.

son of a bitch, only one i needed to REALLY DO since i didnt know what the other stunts were

the fuck?! i've already done some of the (what people here say are) the harder ones. they don't fucking count?!

Yep, I think that's about what I understood from watching it a second time. The thing I'm wondering is
who that mysterious villain is. At first I thought it might be Alden because he was the head of the First Sons before Kessler, but that wouldn't explain Kessler's actions once Alden was killed in the past... future? (bah, fuck time travel). And since the Ray Sphere was destroyed and development knowledge was lost with Kessler, and future threat should be avoided. I guess I'm still unsure of Kessler's motivations towards the end.

fake edit: wait, Alden didn't necessarily die, that makes a little more sense

Hopefully more story elements will be revealed on an evil playthrough.

about the ending:
I wonder if the super powerful guy in the future is actually John. It hasn't been explained what happened to John after he got sucked into the ray sphere.

That seemed to work, thanks.

Time to search for shards and do some of the tedious trophies.

Sounds plausible.

My only hope for the sequel is for us to be able to load our inFamous 1 save and continue our Good/Evil paths... I want to work with Sasha again ASAP. :D

I think that is a possiblility
I already though john and Alden would be back in some way for a sequel. What I did really wonder (which I hate to even bring up because time travel makes it so messy): if kessler came back to give himself (cole) powers, how did the get his powers the 'first' time?

Linkzg said:

Oooh, I hadn't thought of that.
But what would his motivations be? He didn't seem power hungry like Zeke, or have a vendetta against anyone, except maybe for Moya... but that seemed pretty minor.
