inFAMOUS - The oFFicial Thread

Where's a list of all the stunts?

Easy:

* Crush - Kill an enemy by crushing them with an object.
* Sticky Bomb - Kill an enemy by fixing a sticky shock grenade to them.
* Highfall - Kill an enemy by making them fall from a high place, usually over a ledge.
* Enviro Take Down - Kill an enemy with environmental explosion.
* Melee Finisher - Kill an enemy with the last hit of 5 hit melee combo.

Tricky:

* Air Strike - Kill an enemy with the Lightning Bolt move while Cole is in the air.
* Blast & Bolt - Kill an airborne enemy with the standard Lightning Bolt weapon.
* Flying Head Shot - Aim carefully, and take out an airborne enemy with a headshot.
* Flying Melee - Kill an airborne enemy with a melee attack.
* Unquenchable Thirst - Be like Tony Hawk and transfer to 4 different grinds without touching anything else.
* Premature Detonation - Kill an enemy by making a bomb-equipped kamikaze enemy explode near them.

Tough:

* Right Back At Ya - Use the Shockwave move to make enemy kill themselves with a grenade or rocket.
* Air Sticky Bomb - Like #3, but kill an airborne enemy by sticking a grenade to them.
* Insult To Injury - Stick a grenade to an enemy, but then kill them with another weapon (or melee) before it explodes.
* Whack A Mole - Kill a Conduit with the Thunder Drop move.
* Suspended Sentence - Kill an airborne enemy with the Thunderstorm move.
* Up Close And Personal - Kill 3 Enemies back to back with just the melee. Don’t fire in-between.

Daft:

* Crowd Control - Kill 5 Enemies at once, easier with a grenade.
* Splash And Crash - While in the air, Shock an enemy and then hit the same enemy with the Thunder Drop move.
* Have A Nice Fall - Kill 3 enemies at once by making them fall from a high place. Again, easier with a grenade.
* Ride The Lightning - Kill an enemy with Precision while rail grinding.

:D Stolen from here.

Ugh... one blast shard left. I can't find that godamn thing. Are there any other tricky spots I might be missing other than the one way out in the water on those poles in the Neon?

Just opened and played for 9 hours straight, the controls in this game are easily the best for any 3rd person game. It makes the combat flow so well, so its always fun to fight random enemys. And im really suprised that the missions are all pretty fun, and havnt got repetative. Hopefully we get a sequel with online co-op.

Weird, I just got negative Karma from doing a story mission again. On the 2nd Island
where you chase the chopper to John, then fight the golem. I chose to let the gas tank hit me and got good karma, then defeated the golem,
and it gave me negative karma, quite a lot of it, I was noticeably down from being fully blue.

Same here. We both probably killed a lot of bystanders going after the golem :lol

Just had a weird glitch happen on the second island. While in a massive fight with a bunch of people the ground vanished and I fell into the ocean before I died I looked up and all the cars were still driving and the everyone was still walking. The vanished ground only killed me :(.

Do conduits spawn after you have freed all the sections of the island? I need to thunderdrop a conduit as my last stunt.

Yes. I've fought 4 conduits after clearing the first island 100%.

I'm having a hard time pulling off

* Splash And Crash - While in the air, Shock an enemy and then hit the same enemy with the Thunder Drop move.

=[

Come on, mang, that one's easy. Just find a group of guys on the street below you.

Don't have much advice as I found it pretty easy. Just make sure you jump off the top of a pretty tall building to give you enough time to aim and shoot before thunder dropping but that's pretty obvious.

I can't do "Right back at ya" no matter what, anyone have any tips or known places the grenadiers spawn? Taking into account I've done all the story missions and most of the side missions.

The stunt does not work for rockets as that list suggests as I've tried that. I've tried to do it on grenadiers that spawn during missions but every time I air blast, the grenade either just drops to the floor or flys a million miles past the enemy - depending on when I use the air blast. After trying to do it on about 40 grenades the enemies usually end up killing themselves or a pedestrian kills them with a rock. This stunt is impossible.

My last couple besides the pole one was the bridge that is completely destroyed on the side of Historic Island (The bridge that connects warren and historic before it is destroyed, not the sunken bridge). Also, in warren above the entrance to the flooded tunnel to neon.

Good luck.

I had massive trouble with this too. I did it with a normal enemy, the type who shoots but occasionally lobs a grenade. I was in the warren, right by the river. The guy was standing a bit above me in an indentation in the big wall of containers where a container was missing. I just kept shockwaving until a grenade flew back into the gap. Make sure he's damaged beforehand though, gotta make sure that grenade takes him down first time. Good luck!

Also, I've knocked it down to having just 3 shards left. Now the hunt really begins..

Restore some electricity to the Warren.

:lol
I completed KZ2 on Veteran without any problems.

I tried Infamous demo on Hard, and it was way too hard. It was even pretty damn challenging on Normal.

Full game seems to be slightly easier (or maybe I've gone better at it), but I still think KZ2 is easier.

Heh, I disagree.

KZ2 on Veteran is WAYYYY more difficult than InFamous on Hard...I'm at the last mission on Hard...haven't died too much. Probably slightly easier than Uncharted on Crushing.

Not your electricity, you know when you go down into a substation and get a new power. You need to do that.

I just did the first substation mission in the Warren, and now I can "fly" but I can't grind on the cables. What happened?

Animation in this game is off the hook. Destroyed the truck in the demo with my lightning beam as it drove towards me. Shit was so cash.

Will be going back to play Sly Games now because of this demo,

The top of the big skyscraper in/next to the blast site, where the game starts. For some reason it never appeared when I scanned for it(maybe cause its so high up?).

Yeah I think it goes by range both vertically and horizontally. I know when I was really high up I didn't see certain shards until I dropped a few levels.

Just began my evil playthrough. First thing I did was to get 146 shards :lol I can't get the other one until I get the hover ability bummer. At least I know where it is.

I notice if you absorb the enemy's energy to kill them more likely you're going to get bad karma.

well that was a surprise ending :lol

seems to me that the stund list would be easier to complete with good powers

im at 16 and i have no idea which ones i haven't done yet.... so im basically boned til i start my good playthrough

Yeah, I just finished it myself.

What a great game. Frustrating in spots, but still an overall great experience.

I didn't play anything else until I finished it, so that is definitely saying something about its quality and addictive nature. I can't wait to see how sucker punch builds on this framework moving forward.

I'm sorry if these points have been posted before but I'm on the last island and like the story so I don't want to read the thread and get spoiled:
mainly, this game seems buggy as hell
-I keep getting evil results, but alot of that could be I guess citizens getting caught in my fire, sucks it doesn't compensate for that if true, I hope doing all the good side missions will result in a fully good character.
-okay, this really sucked: when it came down to helping either trish or the doctors, I couldn't tell which tower was which until the one near me had a bunch of people on it. I went up there and zapped the person and the whole thing went up along with the one with trish. I got the evil award! even though I helped the doctors! I didn't chose her, wtf
-there's a shard on the second island stuck inside a crane and there's no way for me to get it, hopefully it's patched

Yeah, it definitely is buggy in spots, especially towards the end. I fell through buildings (luckily I was able to walk back to the street) and the game locked up on me once.

Without being patched though, it was still easy to look passed the rough edges only because I was having so much fun.

gaf, please don't tell me there are shards in the areas that you fight bosses that you can't get back to once you've fought that boss? I can't find these remaining 7 for the life of me. Also, there's no way to get back into the sewers right?

Sadly, there are a few certain locations. There are no shards in sewers but there are shards in locations like the container yard in Warren and Prison... and the walking-under-the-bridge sequence in the beginning of the game.

That said, finished the game. SO GOOD!! :D

There are CERTAIN glitches in the game but they are mostly in the end i.e.
the destroyed location in Historic District. You know, the place where you fight Kessler.

Question: If I start a new game, will I be able to continue to collect shards from where I left? If not, can I ATLEAST continue with trophies like Healing 150 people or Bio Leeching people?

Awesome game. Restored my interest in open world games. Beat it on Medium/Hero, now I am going for Hard/Infamous. It seems to be a lot more difficult being evil though as there are fewer ways to get negitive karma. I suppose this was built in as a limiter to avoid people being infamous before leaving the neon.

Question though. I have a final save on Hero that will not allow me to reach 100% in the Warren or the Historic district. I have maybe two spaces in the Warren and 5 or so in Historic. But no missions will show up for these areas. Is there something I am missing? Do I have to play at a higher difficulty or is this a glitch? I was able to 100% the neon, but not the other two. To ensure that I had all of the side missions unlocked I always completed every available side mission prior to pushing the story missions forward. Anyone else experience this issue?

Just got the game. Finding it more intriguing than I would have expected and just as in the demo, the gameplay is just spot-on. Glad I picked it up, just hope it doesn't get too repetitive too early.

Why am I having a hard time getting this? Do you have to do it super quick or something?

To answer your question, there are certain missions after you do a specific task. Mostly to do with going to the uncleared territory/region and looking for enemies. Kill them and the mission icon will show up.

There is hardly anything that repetitive in this game. Ofcourse, certain side-quests duplicate when switching it another island but mostly they have kept in insanely diverse, making sure you don't get bored. :D

Yeah, unfortunately that does not seem to be the case in this particular situation. Usually the side mission marker will show up indicating that that district is active, then when you get there it disappears and you are required to beat some enemies (i.e. to clear room for a cop, or to get a photo). But that isn't the case for me final save. I have run through all of the areas and tried everything I can think of (and surely everything that has been presented to me ingame). But still no missions will show up.

It doesn't. In fact, I'd say that as the game progresses the missions get increasingly more interesting.

The only one of those I haven't done yet is "Have a nice fall". All the others are pretty easy. Ride the Lightning is simple since precision slows down time. To get crowd control you just go to the roof of a building in a section of the city that doesn't have any power. The enemies will swarm right at the foot of the building and you just lob grenades at them. Splash and crash wasn't too tough either, it just takes a few tries to get it right.

I'm having trouble killing a conduit with a thunder drop though. That could be because most of the conduits I run into now are the golems, and I don't think it hurts them. I'm not even sure how to do Suspended Sentence. That one sounds tough.
