The next patch introduces:
Ranked (3/5 no stats enabled)
Player Match (quick match w/ no stats/abilities enabled)

Probably how it should have been from the beginning, but still. This should ensure everyone can get exactly the games they want.
Uhhhh you can use your gear and disable stats/abilities. Just go to player matches and turn on competitive mode in the stage select screen, most people will turn it on as well.
Yeah really looking forward to ranked sets mode for real. Will really take online play to the next level.
I have trouble getting people to fight me multiple sets sometimes. I get blueballed too much.
It goes like this:
I win first game
They figure me out and win second game
I rub my hands in anticipation of a tie breaker
They exit
I just want the ranked sets mode so they must stay til a clear winner is declared

I wish I2 had player lobbies like Blazblue and Guilty Gear it's so easy to find people to play sets with even if I get blown up 99% of the time. I also wish you could queue for pvp while you practice since I spend almost all my time practicing when I'm not online.
I get matches almost as soon as I look in IJ2. in KOTH you can practice as you wait for your turn to fight the king. Sinkfla, CrackedPebbles, and myself did a KOTH last weekend (or weekend before?) it was great

Both Guilds are in the OP.
However at least on the PS4 side we might merge 2 guilds, hoping that only the active ones will stick around - Guilds get inactive really quick unfortunately and only a few people actually do stuff
Yeah I'd be down for forming a new active guild on ps4. I don't touch guildverse stuff anymore but I still fight online quite regularly as well as do the occasional multiverse

I just finished Star City Folk Hero set fuck yeah free costume pieces here I come!
oh yeah I have that set. I've felt that thing is overrated. Granted, I barely run multiverses. But even with that set on my Green arrow bot still gets commons due to the 50% thing (at least from the handful of times I watched him)

That sucks but it does give me an excuse to learn a new character and fiddle with my fightstick.
Before we merge guilds we should see how many actually want to join, if it's like i dunno, just 5 of us i dont know if it's worth it. So if anyone's interested in trying to get an active Gaf Guild going, uh, sign up right here? If it's an okay number then we should do it. Ps4 btw.
Yeah that's whats great, really made me like characters like Joker, Green Arrow and Brainiac and a few more, only Captain Cold, Deadshot and Dr. Fate i never really bothered with.

Yeah it's pretty awesome the two piece has already gotten me two epics but I'm mostly after appearances so I don't care what quality it gives really. I do really like Green Arrow though I wish he had a hood.
we got so many guild cheifs in House of Ls we should probably just do a purge for the guys that dont logon anymore. I'll try msg'ing Sinkfla we should start doing executions
I've got like all the sets for The Flash. Tempted to run him only cause of the gear that extends Speed Zone another second

I'm really enjoying Swamp Thing. He's my second sub after Black Canary. I haven't quite got his extended combos down, but he has something in his bag of tricks for most situations. When played right (not by me!), I can see him being just a huge wall of compost pushing across the screen.
I only wish he had his teleport ability as standard, y'know, rather than Abigail's Garden which requires a lot of set-up or a corner to make useful.
He's an awesome character. I think his animations are some of the coolest in the game, too. Abigail's Garden should stay on hit imo

Once you get momentum going with him, he's a complete beast. Plus, hardly anyone uses him so most people don't know what he can do; namely break the fuck out of armour.
I never play brute-strength characters in any games, I'm always super-fast glass cannons, but Darkseid and Swamp Thing have, for some reason, really caught my attention.

I saw some more concept art by one of the artists from Netherrealm on Instagram the stuff they did concepts of is way cooler than what we got. I hope it's just a case of them saving the best for last and not DC just chaining them to basic appearances but I don't think it is because Red Hood only has one comic helmet right now.

It's painful when your favourite hero does not fit your play style... Really trying to play well with Supergirl, but her attacks don't click with me.

Definitely Katana. She'd have some really cool moves.
Circe or Big Barada....between those two I'd go Enchantress. Could use more magic users whereas we have two people that use Swords already so an energy sword, eh.
Makes sense. Sinestro, then Atrocitus, then Star Sapphire. I'm just hoping for less Batman.

I hope Red Hood stays or Batgirl comes back I like having some of the Bat Family since Robin is an insane shithead.
Honestly, there are a lot of characters with only very slightly different looks with gear. It's just a lot of the same.
It's why I'm not really fan of how the gear sysrem turned out. I'd much rather skins like we used to get.
For example, I'd rather have one default Brainiac design, the all-robot/skull version skin, and a Superfriends style skin with the shorts (just 3 distinct options) than 40 different subtly different arm, leg, or chest pieces to choose from. Characters like him are likely not coming back in future games, so this is the only shot for some of his more iconic looks.

Batman will probably be DCs center of attention until the end of days. I love Bats, but i agree with you.
Doubtful. 30 years ago you would've said the same thing about Superman. Who, ten years ago, would've said "yeah, Guardians of the Galaxy will be a top Marvel franchise"?
That said, the sooner Batman isn't number one the better. Not just because of my disdain for the character/universe but the perception that Batman is the only worthwhile thing at DC.
