Insomniac on the release of Spider-Man 2: The disc contains the entire game and is playable from start to finish with no patch or online requirement

There's no way it's extremely broken otherwise we would have seen it in plenty of reviews or performance analysis.
I think reviewers deliberately ignored how broken it is. It's easily the buggiest AAA title Sony's ever released. It was realistically a Feb/March release and they pushed it out because they had nothing else big this holiday.

Oh, you can. I just remember when we were laughing at Starfield — you weren't in on the jokes. :p

And Spider-Man 2 has bugs. It's not really a "buggy game" (bit of a difference). I reserve that for games that are unplayable due to a significant amount or gaming breaking/kill progress sort of bug. Otherwise, every game is buggy.

I've pissed myself at the starfield bugs. I was very much loving the bugs. Also, that game is completely playable and not a "buggy game" either.

You were very much in the defense force for Starfield, my friend. Coy is coy, but c'mon.

Also, I'm not sure where I said it was a buggy game.

Seems to have worked out then, got their 9/10 score and gamers are bug testing but few care.

The policy to not buy at Day 1 continues to pay off, lol. And once again disappointed by professional reviews basically ignoring bugs and technical issues.

The tweet in the OP explicitly states the best experience is to download the day one update lol.
So we have two versions of the same game. lol indeed.

Where does Inso communicate that to the costumer who's buying the physical edition?

But you wouldn't consider the game being broken or unplayable right?

It's not broken or unplayable. Has a few non game breaking bugs that will most likely be fixed.
This was also a thing on the release of the first game.

I find the game fun just like I find spider man fun. I've never defended it against its bugs but keep reaching ;)

Go through my post history it's there to see.

"I'm out", "Witch Hunt!!!!!"

Damn! We mad insecure! :pie_roffles:

Forum user makes comments on buggy game being buggy after viewing plenty of footage of bugs and reacting to social media discourse around how buggy game is compared to previous game.

Other forum users attack person making the comment and ignore all bugs 🐛...

Yup, sounds completely normal.

Bugs I ran into from beginning to end:

Hard crashes to the dash. Just swinging around New York. Random times.
Frozen controls. Mostly when it transitions from a cut scene to gameplay and often if there's a prompt on screen for a specific move. Have to reload a checkpoint to progress.
Both Peter and Miles spinning like Michael Jackson when trying to interact with a box/POI (the triangle prompt):
52lU.gif

Enemies getting stuck in cars/buses and they can't be killed to complete the crime POI.
Enemies getting stuck under the ground, causing you to reload the checkpoint and restart the whole encounter (happened to me at Coney Island, one robo dog was stuck under the ground).
Those T-stuck animations.
There are certain enviromental things late in the game (spoilers to describe them) that can cause Peter or Miles to get stuck, again causing a checkpoint reload.

From the first Uncharted until now I've NEVER played a first-party Sony AAA release this broken. They used to be close to Nintendo perfection, but this is really bad. Again, I think they rushed it out for holiday 2023 and it needed to be an early 2024 release.

"Ignore all bugs" - which is a lie. I stated the game has bugs.

Bro, just move on and put me on ignore please. I can't deal with you being so triggered over me.

It's weird.

Actually your the only strange one here in these threads.

Maybe if you accept yourself things would he better.

:p

There's still room for improvement and that goes for all of us.

Until then maybe you should ignore me if you don't want to hang out.

:)

I'm definitely not saying the game is flawless. But there's definitely a difference between releasing a broken game like Cyberpunk was at launch.

Ita fine to discuss bugs but let's not say the game is unplayable of that isn't the case. At least the game seems fine from the reviews and performance analysis that I've seen.

This thread is literally dedicated to the condition of the game on disk....without a patch and you are taking issue with people saying the game is buggy and it needs patching...

Then your calling me weird. Put the thread on ignore and take a look in the mirror if you cant handle it.

You are confused, try reading the actual statement from Insomniac. The game is playable from start to finish without connecting to the internet or downloading an update. Additionally it says to download the update for the best experience.

Yup, each situation is unique. Not saying no one else has, but I've yet to experience a game breaking bug in the game. It's an open world game though, so of course bugs will exist.

Nothing wrong with jokes, but one should keep that same energy all around. :p

Face it until you do your always going to see me.

Always I can handle bugs. But when someone claims the game is broken they need to bring some receipts.

Pretty much that's the part that some refuse to accept.

If the game was that bad it would have tanked the metacritic because everyone would have seen how broken it is.
