- A survey by research firm ICR indicates that U.S. Hispanics are comparatively more likely than other Americans to buy home entertainment products and media, including DVRs, cable, movies, music, and video games. The key data point relating to games was that Hispanics are 47% likely to own a game system, compared to 40% of the general population. The survey sampled 1,001 Hispanic adults compared to a general pool of 4,000 adults from June 14 to 27th. "These findings highlight the values placed on their family and the home that is common across the diversity of Latin cultures," said ICR Executive VP Melissa Herrmann. "It also shows the influence of the younger Hispanic generation on their overall household spending."
