Know who else had a bad winrate?
6.79 Earth Spirit
Is Super Monday Night Combat any good? I've been meaning to play it.
On that note, I'm pretty sure there's a normal Monday Night Combat that isn't mentioned on the chart.

He was still ez b4 thoEarth Spirit has a high skill ceiling.

Winning is fun doe.
in dota you can take a nap while you walk back to base.
always carry a tp scrub
tp to base = enjoy walking back to lane
get denied scrub
Hi league players! I'm a doto player, I'm wondering how the games are different mechanically ,so ill ask some questions.
Is there a courier? If so do you need to buy it, or is there always one?
Can you block camps? I.e will the jungle camps spawn even if there is someone standing in their camp?
Are there no items with abilities at all? Or only few of them?
I know there are two things in place of Roshan, dragon and the baron, but do you also get an agies out of them? Or just gold and xp?

I disagree and would say that LoL seems slower because of lower damage and easier escapes.
Fights don't seem to be decided or end as quickly as they do in Dota.
Says Riven before 100 to zeroing an enemy in the space of a knock up, stun, knock up.Which is exactly why I like it. There's a lot of play back and forth in teamfights , which allows more dynamic characters such as Riven to exist.

Does Riot get frequent content patches because Valve has gone like 2 months with sweet fuckall.
My friends would always complain about shit being stale all the time and them never patching new shit and even when they do balance changes its only a fraction of the heroes at a time.Does Riot get frequent content patches because Valve has gone like 2 months with sweet fuckall.
It's more like three months between champions right now. There's been five major patches this year so far. There's a new champion update atmost every 2 months, and there's usually balance patches between those.
i think ur trying to define "fast" as some other way, and thats fine. faster wasnt a metric of how quickly people die or how quick the game is ended. what youre trying to say is that you can be more punished in dota, and thats fine. I agree. the spells are definitely higher impact + esp least in lane, where the blow ups r real, during laning, dota is a game of dont step wrong (which sometimes means no stepping at all) and leeg is a game of attrition. mid-late game, dota actually becomes a little 'slower' than league as the game progresses because in league, the damage roles are super squishy and it becomes a game of 'dont step wrong'
:<No bow = fail
What a shitty cosplay
yea like once a month or something. sometimes takes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. there are also skin releases and crap in between so the wait isn't so bad.Does Riot get frequent content patches because Valve has gone like 2 months with sweet fuckall.
theres a secret agreement between valve and riot to release nothingDoes Riot get frequent content patches because Valve has gone like 2 months with sweet fuckall.
this is exactly what I'm talking about, but if you view that as faster then so be it.
Yes, there are a few invisible champs. You can counter them with pink wards or with an oracle trinket that you can buy that has a cooldown but won't expire. Thanks for all the answers everyone! I'm gonna ask some more stuff though
Are there invisible heroes at all? If so can you counter them?
I understand there are skills that every hero can have? Such as a blink and tp? If so how is it balanced,is there a mana cost ? What's the cool downs like? Can you teleport to towers?
Is there something like smoke in the game?
Also, I assume there are people here that have made a transition from one of the games to the other, I wonder, what's been most difficult to get used too?

The most defining difference between LoL and DOTA for me is the champion movement and controls.
Dota is based on an rts engine, so you have that big turn around animation like a unit in warcraft would have. LoL controls are more like Diablo, so you can run away from the enemy and, without stopping, cast something behind your back.
I much more prefer the latter controls, so i couldn't really enjoy dota in the matches I've played, the movement felt sluggish.
I mean, yeah, that's right, of course - you have spell cast animation, but my point is that you don't have to wait for your guy to turn around to cast an ability and then turn around to start running again.i know what you mean to say, but thats not 100% true
most spells have an unavoidable ~0.5s cast point
some spells have 0 cast (and therefore, run and cast without stopping) e.g. syndra, sivir, n other stufff mebe

Super Monday Night Combat is really fucking good. Unfortunately you've missed the window on playing it with anything approaching a healthy community.
Regular Ass Monday Night Combat has a small community still going but the game suffers from a lot of balance issues that have to be circumvented by "house rules" (you can field entire teams of a single character).
Unfortunately Uber have abandoned both and with that the communities around them also have all but waddled off too. SMNC was really close to being something great but just didn't get the traction it needed to continue. It's hard to get people to realise it's not a poor mans TF2 and actually a 3rd person MOBA. Really sad as SMNC is one of my favourite games of the past few years.
yeah nobody wants dota to remove turn rates
the games are designed and balanced in the presence of absence of turn rate
for some people, they dont like turn rates, so they stick to lol. some people like the deliberateness of turn speeds, so they stick to dota.
shrug

Q: Any opportunity for other platforms like mobile?
Dustin Browder: I don't know about mobile, that would be pretty challenging for us to do, given the nature of the controls, and the stuff going on...
I think we certainly talked about doing it for console and I think Keao had a prototype working in his house, where he hooked it up
Kaeo Milker: I just played with Joystick emulation on my XBOX 360 controller on my TV, but it was fun!
Dustin Browder: Worked pretty well!
