10.5" It is the current God tablet. The screen is so ridiculously good and the A10X combined with 4GB RAM... It is perfectly setup for all of these productivity updates coming to iOS over the next couple of years.
thank you!

I use The Calculator - but thats a good point, whats the logic of no calculator being installed on iPad as a default?
I properly know how iOS works though. Nothing wrong with wanting to remove apps from ones app switcher.DON'T EVEN SUGGEST THIS.
I use app switcher all the time to scroll back through the week.
people just need to chill a bit and properly understand how iOS works.

I'll look into these. I just need it to plus, minus, multiply and divide lol. Keeping it real simple.I really like Soulver; use it daily on my Mac and a few times a week on my iPhone, so imagine the iPad version would be as good.
Always wondered this myself. Why doesn't iPad have the default Calculator app?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who finds the new Podcast design horrific. What the fuck were they thinking?
One cool thing that seems to have happened with this update is that it fixed my weird WiFi issue with my iPhone. A few updates ago, probably last year at some point, my phone started to have this issue where a page wouldn't load at all. Internet would just screech to a halt. I'd have to flick off the WiFI and the page or whatever I was trying to do would load almost instantly. Then I could turn WiFI back on and go for a while again. Haven't had that issue yet.
My 7 Plus battery is garbage on this OS
So, looks like if you want 4K iTunes content you have to have an ATV 4K? Or is this a placeholder until High Sierra ships with HEVC support? Surely it has to be, especially for iMac 4K/5K customers.
"Only the Apple TV 4K, connected to a 4K-compatible television with a compatible ultra-high speed HDMI cable, can play 4K content."
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207949
Also: "You can download a local copy of an HD movie, and you might be able to download HDR and Dolby Vision versions, but you can't download a 4K version."Yeah I read that earlier as well. Even more surprising is that movies can have both HDR standards, just one, or none. Meaning if you buy a Dolby Vision title but your TV only does HDR10 and the Studio didnt provide an HDR10 fallback, the Apple TV wont do that for you. You just wont get HDR
Also iOS 11 appears to restore Gmail push in Apple Mail (9to5Mac - iOS 11 beta - June '17)... Did this make it to the final release? Do I have to reset up my accounts or does it just work automatically now? I can't find the push option in settings
Also: "You can download a local copy of an HD movie, and you might be able to download HDR and Dolby Vision versions, but you can't download a 4K version."
That sucks for Mac users.

Hey everyone.
There any reason why the clock on my lock screen is gone? Turned my phone off & on earlier today to fix it and it was showing, but now its gone again lol.
Same when pulling down to see my notifications/notification center.
On a regular 7.
So many decisions on this update just leave me scratching my head. Its as if they changed things just to change them. Im really not liking 11 so far.

These were all iOS 11 devices. Hopefully it either sorts itself out - though we did try restarting all the devices - or Apple issues a swift fix. AirDrop is something that we use all the time. This has only been an issue for me between iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices. It worked fine between iOS 11 and macOS as well as 11 and 11.
The mistake is that you still can't set another calculator app to be launched from Control Center..Why is the mainstream media ignoring the elephant in the room here?
All these new features, all this new tech, but nobody is brave enough to discuss the most shocking mistake Apple has ever made.
"Automatic" only seems to check for mail when I open the app unless it's connected to a power source. Also iOS 11 appears to restore Gmail push in Apple Mail (9to5Mac - iOS 11 beta - June '17)... I feel like version numbers have gotten mostly useless especially with companies like Facebook updating their app like every single week with the same old "performance improvements and bug fixes" generic releases notes.
And many others are just plain wacky with the version numbers. Like Google Drive is at version 4.2017.35501, Gmail is version 5.0.170827, Chrome is at version 61.0.3163.73.
I'm glad they hid that personally, it's still just a tap away if you really want to see it.
Doesn't Microsoft's Outlook app work with Gmail?"Automatic" only seems to check for mail when I open the app unless it's connected to a power source.
So you're still stuck with the terrible Gmail / Inbox apps if you want push notifications.

Id rather just rip 4K Blu-rays and play them wherever I want with plex if this is studio bullshit.

I think you can link accounts so that Microsoft is pulling your Gmail emails into your Outlook account and notifying you that way, but I'm not comfortable doing that.Doesn't Microsoft's Outlook app work with Gmail?

oh dang.. so your TV HAS TO support both.. man...
also, yeah I believe this further cements that 4K videos are HEVC. Hence not being downloadable on macOS (probably until High Sierra releases).
edit - word.. the TCL p607 supports Dolby Vision AND HDR10. I'll be set when I grab one later this fall.
Right. Whenever it happens Im ripping the shit out of my movies. And voucher codes, yes.You can't rip 4K BluRays right now, though. It'll happen eventually, but for the moment studios have locked it down enough that no one has found a way in.
As an aside, I can't believe Apple is now offering 4K, super high-res versions of films, yet they still don't offer a lossless music format.
Reposting for the new page.
Yeah I switched to Outlook over a year ago and it works fine with my two Gmail accounts.Doesn't Microsoft's Outlook app work with Gmail?
Sounds like a glitch. I'd say go to settings, hit general reset. Should fix the issue. A general reset won't delete anything but you'll have to change some settings and stuff back.
I think we need to wait for real world confirmation of this because I don't see why a studio wouldn't provide a DV version and not a HDR10 version of a title since it's required for UHD disc.
Theres FLAC support in iOS 11, at least! Just, you know, no way to actually get FLAC songs into the Music app.
Did they merge media and ringer volume levels? Seems like I only have one right now when I hit the volume buttons
The new version of iTunes supports FLAC
Source? I am running the High Sierra GM with iTunes 12.7 and both drag and dropping and manually adding FLAC files does nothing.
That would be terrible if they did.Did they merge media and ringer volume levels? Seems like I only have one right now when I hit the volume buttons
