If it can pick up your accent that is.Carton said:2012, apparently
I was thinking, the more advanced Siri becomes, the more useful it will be for learning/practicing another language. The technology has so much potential.
Just think of it this way. If it can't understand your accent then you know where you should work on improving your skills.unrenowned said:If it can pick up your accent that is.
I'd like to get a more definitive answer from Apple when or even if Siri will be fully functional in Swedish (would seem really weird with me walking around speaking English to my phone).

Corran Horn said:This isnt a 4s question but more just an Iphone question. Im trying to move some photos from an old iphone 1st gen off the phone and onto my PC. These are inside the Photo Library and not the camera. Itunes doesnt seem to want to do it, My Computer isnt picking up that folder and every program I look online requires $$$.
Is there some program that is actually free that I can use to transfer these photos?
It's not so easy practicing on your english accent in a country where english isn't a native language.ivedoneyourmom said:Just think of it this way. If it can't understand your accent then you know where you should work on improving your skills.

Transformed old iPhone 3G into a wireless audio receiver, going to stick it in a dock and put it in the kitchen or bathroom.
iPhone 3G to 4.2.1, Jailbreak, Cydia, search "AirServer" ($5). Works like a charm. There's a Mac version too, it's very cool.
4S? If you've had battery problems/hearing up I'd just go to an Apple Store and exchange it. Least that way you'd know whether it's 'normal' or not.BigNastyCurve said:Sitting in a theater tonight with my phone in my jacket pocket - got out and the phone was warm and very dead. I assume a process ran amuck and ran the damn thing the entire time I was there. I thought the phone was completely dead when I got home, but eventually it turned on after charging for a bit. My 4 never behaved like that.
Tabris said:Try saying this to Siri: "iPhone, iPhone, iPhone on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"
That's exactly what I was trying, and was eventually able, to do. The webpages would either load with an error message or a note from Apple saying that their servers were overloaded due to demand. Occasionally I would get through Steps 1, 2 or 3 (picking a store location and phone model then signing in) only for the site to crash as I tried to get a confirmation. Then I'd have to start again only to discover that no phones were no longer available. It's a horrible, horrible experience and I wish Apple would change itthey can't blame AT&T for this one.SuperPac said:You know you can reserve them the night before for pickup in store right?

Just so you know, it is actually bulging - it's not a trick of the eye. Just got mine and it definitely is...think I'm gonna send it back.JackEtc said:Got my SwitchEasy Vulcan in. It's not bad for the price.
(The only camera I have is my phone, so excuse the webcam pic

I kind of feel like its bulging out on the side, but I think it's just because I'm used to the phone naked.
Only thing is that the has just been HELLA greasy from fingers or something ever since I opened it. Almost seems dirty.
buy an itunes gift card with cash or get a paypal account linked to your bank account(?). No debit card needed.BackwardsSuggestions said:I only have 1 more week to return my phone for a 32GB and it still says unavailable on the Apple website. I really don't want to return it and wait for them to get stock again.
Also, I can't use the App store since I don't currently have a debit card.![]()
You've got a bad phone. I *unplugged* mine at 100% at midnight last night and it was only down to 98% in the morning. The Lamonster said:Had it plugged in all night and I wake up to 91% charge. Plus the dead pixel... I'm starting to feel ripped off.

Hmm. I'm happy with it anyway, I'm gonna keep mine. Good protection for the thickness.JasonMCG said:Just so you know, it is actually bulging - it's not a trick of the eye. Just got mine and it definitely is...think I'm gonna send it back.![]()

If his is anything like mine, whether it's plugged into the wall charger or USB, it will drain itself from a full charge.giga said:Plugged in to the wall charger?

Yeah it's really more of an upgrade for 3GS users. I felt the same way a little bit but the improved camera and Siri made it worth it for me, I've found both useful already.OverHeat said:1 week with my new 4s coming from a iPhone 4....and Im having a little buyer remorse. 3GS and 3G users, trying to using my 3G right now makes me wonder how I lived with it for so long. Personally, if I had a 4G, there'd be no way I'd upgrade unless a)Have money to blow, b)Use for development, c)a techie who needs to show off or d)Apple fan.Gary Whitta said:Yeah it's really more of an upgrade for 3GS users. You can do that with google music, pretty weak selling point.Gary Whitta said:You don't even have to plug the phone in to update your music now, it's all wireless. I say go for it!

Syncing music via Wi-Fi is a ton faster than having to upload it to Google.cuevas said:You can do that with google music, pretty weak selling point.
Sure the initial upload took a while but now adding an album or single takes no time.giga said:Syncing music via Wi-Fi is a ton faster than having to upload it to Google.
Yeah Gmusic really is pretty damn magical. I still use itunes for my desktop player, but it automatically syncs to gmusic in the background. So I add an album to itunes and 10 minutes later its available in the cloud to stream to any browser or download to my phone. Very simple.cuevas said:Sure the initial upload took a while but now adding an album or single takes no time.
So is backing up your phone but iCloud is all the rage now.giga said:Syncing music via Wi-Fi is a ton faster than having to upload it to Google.
Wait isn't it exactly the same? iCloud surely counts against your data plan when you use it over 3G.dIEHARD said:Google Music uses data and will burn battery faster. There are positives and negatives to all methods.
