This is AT&T's problem, not Apple's.

I'm flying through the Apple site and dying on any kind of AT&T interactions.

If there isn't, I guess it's something you can buy later (perhaps at an Apple Store, as someone commented earlier). If that's the case, I suppose I could just order though Verizon's site.

Trust me, I've been trying to think about who I could get to send me one from Canada, but it's not worth the hassle. I'll be out of the country for about a month starting near the end of October so I should be able to get an unlocked phone when I get back.
 
Damn it, I want the tethering (without jail breaking) but I don't want to give up the unlimited plan for it. So lame that it's an extra 15 a month and you get less.
 
You know, I really hate times like these.

A team of two billion dollar companies have MONTHS to prepare for the launch of a product, and fully know what to expect based on a previous year doing the same thing.

People stay up until FOUR IN THE MORNING to *give* the companies $200 and ~$100/month for the next two years; and they're not even prepared to take it.

**** this. I'm going to bed. I'll grab one of these in a month if another phone doesn't catch my eye.

Can't beleive Canada has the U.S. beat on a few things when it comes to mobile phones and plans. My $45 plan includes tethering and iPhone is unlocked up here.
 
Fuck it, I'm gonna get a local ATT phone and keep my old iPhone 4 as my world phone.

Edit:

Nevermind, I can't deal with the messed up button on my iPhone 4 and if I bring it in to get fixed I'll lose my unlock. I guess I'm just waiting for the unlocked 4S.

EDIT: A tip, use the Apple Store app to purchase. If your order processing conks out, you don't have to start from the beginning. You can spam the "Done" button like a madman instead.
Did anyone get this page and eventually get an order through? AT&T here

Yeah .. isn't it the case that even when you buy from a Canadian carrier, it's unlocked?

I don't know, man. Apple's site kept giving me the "your order could not be processed" every time. I went through att.com and I got through.

I had a really old email address associated with my ATT account so I didn't get an email confirmation. My paranoid nature makes me worried that my order didn't actually get processed.

Ya know... I thought there was an option but I tend not to bother with it so I glossed right over. I was more concerned with making sure I kept my unlimited plan. *chuckles*

You can buy it later though. That won't be an issue - or at least it shouldn't be.

Yep, ordered. Apparently there's a credit check involved and you have to speak to a representative sometime tomorrow, but other than that I'm good to go.

Got through the site about 30 minutes ago (Canada), still waiting for confirmation email though. Do have an order number, so we'll see.

Actually, as I type this I just got an email from Amex saying I'm approaching my limit. Hopefully that was a charge, guess I should check.
 
Ok everyone, after 3 tries on Apple I couldnt get through. Went to AT&T and got through on my first try. Hope everyone else has as good of luck.
