There is absolutely no way this is happening.
That happens time to time around the midnight hours here in the states. Google is doing maintenance with their servers. Hell, it even happens with Windows Live from time to time.

I've got a couple questions about those bumpers. Has anyone on here had problems with them scratching up the metal band? And for anyone that has the green bumper, has it gotten dirty over time?
Edit: Nevermind. Searched through this thread and read up on them elsewhere. Sucks that they seem to be junk, I really like the green one.

Don't listen to all the anecdotes. I've had a bumper since the 4 launched (free bumper program) and now on my 4S and never a scratch on the metal band.
Apple has sold millions of these things and there are only a handful of negative reports.
Hey guys, how would I go about doing something like this? Having those widgets and being able to put more apps on the bottom dashboard.

Man I'm really trying to decide whether I get one now or wait for next year.
The only reason I held out until now was the extremely silly price an iPhone goes for here (the equivalent of $2,000 committing to 3 years, no other offer available, fuckin' hell) but after a lot of research it's still the best deal I (or anyone here) can get, so I decided I'll get one, but like I said, I don't know if I should go now or wait for the 5.
I think the only thing that would make me regret buying one now is if 5 went 4inch. Aside from that, I'd rather buy the 4S. But I don't really know how much of a chance there is for it with iOS being so dependent on resolution. Decisions, decisions.

Functionality wise, I get it, iOS' homescreen and lock screen aren't all that.
I have a question that involves the iPhone 4.
When I sync it to iTunes, it tells me I have 5.3 gbleft, but when I look in the settings>general>about it says I have 3.2 gb. I have an iPhone 4, 16 GB, AT&T. I'm asking cause I'm running out of space.I'm definitely getting 32 next update.

Apps that came with the phone (they are the ones that do not have a red 'X' above the app). Remain on the phone. You cannot delete them. You can jailbrake to delete them but you cannot delete them running any of Apple's iOS's. You can put them in a folder if they annoy you.
The only apps you can delete are the ones you download from the App Store (they have an red 'X' above the app). That's it.
Yeah it happens sometimes. I know that when I connect my 4S to iTunes it says I only have about 4GB left when I actually have double that.
That sucks. The app drawer of android was a nice feature since only the apps you want appear on the main screens.

So what's the best resource for finding out when games and apps go on sale/free?
Specific ones? I liked AppShopper when I had an iPhone. You can make a wishlist, put it ones you already own. It will even notify when updates are released, though that didn't help me much as I have update OCD and check app store like 10 times a day.
Anymore opinions on the Otterbox Defender?
My Dad just got a 4s and it took me a few hours to realize the Otterbox Defender, which I saw for the first time, had a screen protector when I finally saw a glare. Actually, it kind of looked like the liquid screen issue LCD rear projector TV's had or whatever. I haven't used my 3G in months because I broke it.
Looks like the LifeProof has one too.
Personally, I want the front face exposed when I upgrade in the upcoming weeks.

I was going to go with a Defender until I saw they spell out their brand name across the back of the case. Fuck that. I'm not going to give a company $50 for a freakin' phone case and free advertising on top of that. Anybody have any good recommendations for a more minimal case design?

Damn. Like an idiot I used my iPhone all of yesterday without putting a screen protector on it first. Anybody got any tips on getting all these smudges off the screen before I put the screen protector on?
I think a cloth with a tiny bit of water is all you need.
They sometimes recommend working in a bathroom with hot water running for steam that prevents dust from settling.

Just skip the ugly screen protector. That's the easiest way.
I had that problem, had to restore the phone to fix. Have fun!

Check out appsgonefree. It's by the same people who do appshopper. Every day they suggest 5-10 apps that have been dropped to free. Usually games, but lots of great apps sprinkled in. Definitely worth checking out.
