My iPhone 3G has a broken display since last week, only a few white lines are shown. My first Apple product ever, and it didn't even last 3 months.

Now I'm glad I didn't send my k800i to Ebay, it's better for writing SMS anyway.

It's been a workaround I've been using, but the grouping option makes a lot more sense.

FYI there are some jailbroken options that do what you need.

Great! Somevalidation that I'm not completely off my rocker.

I've looked into the jailbreak options, but I don't want to deal with that whole ball of wax every time a new official update comes down the line. I'm just hopeful for an option via the official firmware someday.

So far so pleased with the frequent updates!

That's because we are awesome.

TO be honest, not even all the apps I have installed I even use all that often. I just like to have them in case I need them, like a decent dictionary app and so on.

I can't get data on T-mobile, so I'm confined in the apps that would be really useful. I don't mind though, keeps me from messing about. I'm on a budget here. I'm going to avoid jailbreaking for as long as possible.

Simplify is so awesome when I leave my PC on and have 3g or WiFi. Honestly, one of my favorite apps.

If it's plugged into the computer, it can sync the app updates from iTunes. I don't understand why you would want to do this.

Full qwerty on the protrait mode on the phone is pretty cramped(I'm pretty sure everyone agrees), a solution would be to offer suretype layout.

Besides, when I say Suretype is Blackberry, I mean they own it. It's not a standard, it's their propietary crappy input method. They wouldn't share it, and Apple wouldn't want it if they did. QWERTY is a standard.

Massive battery drain
You need to have a full battery when playing this game and even then, it drains very quickly. SImCity keeps draining the battery even after connecting the iPhone to a power source, so it's better to let it rest while you charge your phone.

WTF. I dont care about a camera or software features anymore; the only thing I want for the next version of the iPhone (hopefully this summer) is long battery life. I don't mind if it's a bigger model not thinner.

That said, this thread has degenerated into whining about little niggles we all have with the phone. HearPlanet is free this week so lets talk about a nice little app.

well, there's no real discussion in this thread unless Apple issues an update to the phone.

as it is, every couple pages, people come in and ask the same questions that have been answered in this thread around 10 times already if they spent the time to look.

I'm back! Anyway I sold my Xperia X1 today for £350 and now I have enough to get an iPhone next week, BUT I am still at logger heads as to which one I want to get.

It's between the white 16GB or the black 8GB. I LOVE the white iPhone, but I duno

But £50 more for double the size and white = value? I dont know, because I have a 80GB iPod already :s

This is mostly going on in the App Store thread over in gaming. LCfiner is right, I don't check this thread nearly as much as I used too. The phone is stable, other than the 5 or so features people keep demanding there won't be anything going on until new hardware is announced.

Woah, I own an iPhone and I didn't know they were that scratch resistant. I got a cheap screen protector with mine, but I guess I didn't even need it.

If your just concerned about needing memory for your mp3s then I suggest that you get thw 8 gig and download simplify media. If I had known about simplify media beforehand I wouldn't have purchased the 16 gig : /

PDANet for windows has just been made awesome! It now supports tethering over USB rather than Wifi. Much more practical, no need for an adhoc wireless network that i could never get to work with security.. probably better for battery life too.

I got the Power Support Anti-Glare screen protector because of the antiglare. It really works.

I got them too (after calling the apple store everyday before christmas and never finding them in stock). Can't tell the difference though.

I love the iPhone and all, they really need to do something about the home screen. I have about 4 pages worth of applications and it's hard to find a certain app at times. The ideal setup for me would to be able to assign applications to groups (i.e. standard apps, games, social community, utility etc.). Make it happen Apple!

Get categories from cydia! though its a bit slower, you'll be able to organize everything
