i recently got a virus, and im going to completely reformat my hdd (its been 3 years so its past due)

what do i need to do to back up iTunes, contacts, music, playlist, ect so it doesnt change on my phone when i go to sync after the format?

Apple folder in the application data folder and the iTunes folder in the my music folder.

This is literally the most well-designed user interface I've encountered. I'm not an Apple kind of dude at all, I will never consider switching from PC to a Mac, but this is a thing of beauty.

It uses the skyhook service to pinpoint wi-fi singnals. they just started mapping europe last year so unless you're in one of the few cities they've mapped, you're out of luck.

I'd say there's a bigger delta between the iphone OS and other phones/ PDAs than between Mac OS X and Windows.

I love me some Leopard, but the UI differences aren't nearly as obvious as with the touchscreen UI of the iphone.

I unlocked my phone using the yellowsn0w utility via cydia/installer.

I thought I screwed myself when I updated to 2.2 because with the updated baseband, my sim adapter wouldn't work. But now it works!!!

You need an iTunes account...

Yeah they are official apps, when i go to sync them it says it will replace them with the apps that are on the computer. Which there are none.

oh so u already reformatted. well off the top of my head u can always just write down all the apps u have and then dl them again. as long as ur logged in it will dl for free. there should also be a list in ur account details or something

I bought my iPHONE off of ebay, and got a couple hundred back from doing the Live search deal. In the end, I really didn't pay a premium on it.
